  1. HNY! Just thought I'd share a link for a chase from last Summer in Cambridgeshire. Wasn't expecting too much but captured some lovely cloud structure. Here's the link - looking forward to those Summer storms! https://youtu.be/_JzFo180vH8?si=kbTjvpgbq63eLeON
  2. Was thinking of driving Cambridge way. Feels like there's currently a lot of cloud cover though...
  3. . Chased near Peterborough this afternoon (camera photos to come) but any thoughts on this lowering?
  4. Gonna stick around in North East London this eve. Some decent South/East facing vantage points. Good luck chasers.
  5. @Paul Sherman Looks so good Paul! i'm heading out on the 10th for a couple of weeks. What are your thoughts on the current model predictions? Doesn't seem that favourable atm...
  6. Better late than ever - but took this while chasing near Braintree yesterday. Got a load of other pics but not had time to offload.
  7. Developing cell over West London that produced a few bolts an hour or so ago.
  8. Some stills from today's chase in Ely, Cambridgeshire. Got a load of thunder but no lightning seen.
  9. Wasn't too bad Paul. Be interesting to know how Dan got on. Constant thunder but very little lightning.
  10. How did it go for you Matt? Just got back to London. Lots of thunder but little lightning - some great cloud structure though. Will post some pics tonight/tomorrow.
  11. Thinking of hitting up Ely/West Norfolk area. Always a great place to chase if a storm lands.
  12. Storm that crossed Maidstone earlier. Lightning detected but no strikes seen from my position.
  13. Beautiful storm structure across East London. Some mean thunder, plus a couple of missed strikes.
  14. Heavy Shower heading across North East London earlier this afternoon.
  15. Heavy showers racing through East London - Unexpected cloudscape.
  16. Not that I was expecting anything, but there was some signs.... for about 10 minutes.
  17. Hey Ian, Alexander Palace is a great vantage point in North London, along with the Walthamstow Marshes area in the North East. The marshes more if you're looking East rather than across the city-scape.
  18. Sunset heavy showers in Stoke Newington, London. Rumble of thunder also heard. Glorious colours
  19. I agree - great points. Yes definitely, sound is equally as powerful & important as the visuals. I hope to cover that. Great username by the way, hemispheres is one of my favourite albums
  20. Yeah I agree Chris. I guess it's trying to strike that balance. Thanks for your response. Chris
  21. Hey guys, Hope everyone is doing okay during this time. Firstly, I'm new to the forum so hello to you all, it's wonderful to see people with like-minded love and enthusiasm for the weather. The reason for my post, is i'm currently in the middle of doing my own online UK storm-series which i've been filming on-and-off since the beginning of the year. It's just a passion-project i've been doing in-between everything else film related. It's all come to a bit of a stand still at the minute (unless anything happens in London) but I've been taking this time to develop what's at the core of these films. I've been looking through so many videos online for inspiration etc, but my question is, what is it that hooks and draws you to watching videos like this? As an example, if you were watching a storm chase video, do you prefer the rawness of its capture? or something that's more crafted? I understand the answer might be both, but I'm currently wrestling with the general tone but also figuring what could feel-fresh and more unique. Would love to hear your thoughts. All the best, Chris
