Not far from ware ??
Nothing wrong with Ware that’s where I am from, apart from it still not snowing!
-
Snow symbols dropping off my phone now, looks like Herts to far north, hardly had anything last year
-
So is this the furthest north it will get?
-
Still nothing here, glad most have had a good winter, and nice to see falling snow, but at best we have had a dusting all winter, no snow days for kids, no sledging!
-
What’s it like up around Cambridge? Daughter has Vaulting later so driving up from Hertford, it’s clear here yet again, looks like the sledges are not getting used for another winter
-
A slight dusting, my kids have still not had enough snow this winter to go sledging
-
Looks like a little bit more firing up over the Thames?

Epping new road white
I work on Upland road, got out of there at 3 today, dread to think what it is like now
-
A bit of a covering but now stopping, loved all the pictures from around the country, seems Herts was just not lucky this winter

Unfortunately I think Harrow will be to far north and east for anything meaningful from that band to the south. After a period of snow tomorrow afternoon / evening, it will start to slowly turn milder. Wouldn't expect a meaningful thaw to kick in until Sunday, though. In the meantime, enjoy whats left of the snow!
Would if we had any

All starting to move NW, don’t look like any for here tonight, was hopeful earlier watching the radar, and despite radar showing me under snow nothing has fallen
-
Things seem to be upgrading, but still only got a few flakes blowing in the wind!

Here here. An inch fell on Monday and again this morning. Given the set up that is very disappointing. An inch tonight and tomorrow, however, would really make a difference...
Will be over the moon with a few inches over the next few days, just so I can spend a long weekend with the kids enjoying the snow, after that bring on spring I am running out of logs for the burner!

Been a good cold spell here for the temperatures, but for snow a real let down, so hoping the stuff coming out of France will give us one last chance, and a snow day for the kids and me tomorrow

Sorry northerly extent appears to be south Norfolk according to the radar.
When you look at radar you would think we have been hammered, not the case, over half way through and a slight covering here

Snow for 2 hours now, heavy then light! But still lucky if we have had a cm! But loving the cold, especially the icicles and biting wind, hoping Friday gives us enough to go sledging with the kids

Is Herts the only county missing out? Got a cm at best! Light snow at the moment but to light to settle properly

I am in Epping looking out of a second floor window towards Harlow and it is blue sky in that direction. Think what you were looking at will go several miles to the north of here and North London.
Can't see any showers here for the next hour or so.
I am in Epping Upland, was heavy snow here 20 mins ago, drove to Epping high street and was sunshine. Nothing settling here though
-
We are back! How am I meant to know what’s going on outside without NW??
-
NW online record beaten tonight

I love snow, but not to worried about a break down Friday! We are having a few days of cold and snow at the end of the season, all of us would of taken that a month ago! So enjoy the next few days

I'd say the 'mean' is ENE, especially at 850-700mbs which is a better guide for winter convection and its direction, though sure there are spells of more pure easterly (Monday morning and Wednesday afternoon-evening seems to be the best time).
ENE so that brings Herts in to the game with a streamer?

Heavy snow here and starting to settle

Lots of assumptions going on here. Having just bought a 4x4 for my daily commute to London I loved it this weekend. I for one know that when you hit the ice doesn’t mater if you’ve got the best 4x4 you’re gonna skid when you break on it. Drove for 10 years in Canada. That’ll teach you the quick way lol
Evening Coops how long you been back in UK, take it you are still in touch with Lou?
