Drove from Cannock to Dudley this afternoon, lovely thunder and lightning with lots of rain and hail all the way...never expected it which was great.

Heavy rain and strong winds here. Quite mild at present though, 7.5C.

Drove from Huntingdon to Dudley via A14 and M6, M5. Awful conditions along the A14 in Northants and Cambs, some areas flooded, problem is the road isn't lit and you can't see it until you've hit it, nearly lost control twice...and even at 50mph which is what I ended up at it's extremely dangerous. Parts of the M6 was flooded near Coventry and the rain was that heavy I had to slow down to 30mph at one point. Window wipers going full couldn't clear the amount of water, dangerous conditions out there and a real need for the whole motorway and a road networks to be lit.

Love it. Now I don't live in Walsall something interesting happens lol

It's been a really lovely day here in Dudley (so weird saying that!) and also in Leamington Spa where i was first half of the day. Nice warm sunshine. I even cut both the lawns for the first time since i moved and had dinner on the patio. Excellent. Off to Birmingham and Worcester tomorrow...sigh!

Rather shocked but it happens to be thundering, lightning and massive random drops of rain! I wasn't expecting this. Adding to the four storms here the other day. Sky is looking evil! Well done Dudley lol

Well i've had an absolute awful end to the day! Got woke up at 4:45am this morning by rain, then the thunder came which was awesome! Started out from Brownhills at 7:15am, got to the A38 just to my south and boom...heaviest rain i have ever seen. The sky went pitch black (was like driving at dusk), street lights came on, had to pull over twice. Massive cracks of thunder that shook the car. Drove through Coleshill, Water Orton and Kenilworth and the rain and thunder continued and just as i thought i was safe, driving into Leamington the heavens opened! Got there at 9:45am!! Amazing stuff! It was dangerous at times, couldn't see anything but water and the wipers physically couldn't go fast enough. Reason why i've had a problem of a day is not the storms, they were awesome, but because i locked my car key in the car and accidentally broke a window trying to get it out. Cost me £50, Autoglass come out tomorrow morning! Could of cried. And now i see Leicestershire is hogging the storms while we are bone dry!

Sun was beginning to make an appearance. I can hear rumbles coming from somewhere. Atleast let me get in the car before you start raining again lol. Very humid still. Fan is back on lol

It's going to be a long day, been awake a while, storms to my south west and south east, some good lightning and some decent rumbles. Im happy with that. Better get ready for work, off to Leamington Spa this morning!

I'm looking at the storm to my south west over Wolverhampton way, that's where most of my lightning is coming from. However the CG was to my south east, so both storms must be very close. Dying back now, rain has almost stopped and there is very little lightning to be had from either direction...so i'm going to get ready for work. Off to Leamington Spa this morning! Maybe i will see something down there lol

Jeeze the rain is like monsoon rain. Big bangs and flashes. The roar of the rain is so loud.

Oh it doesn't surprise me. 10 mile gap of nothing and we're slap bang in the middle while everyone else parties. It happens everytime, always watching from a difference.

Well i do believe im going to bed...major let down for us in the West Midlands County. Has rained a little again since earlier but i'm up early tomorrow. Am in Leamington Spa tomorrow morning then in Harborne for the afternoon. We need the wind direction to change for anything tonight. Night
