  1. Bradley in Kent We were in Cordoba in May that year. It was pretty warm then.
  2. 41c in Minorca 1994. Pretty warm! A few older people in the Town died that week, very sad. It broke with an amazing Thunderstorm the night before we went home. Temp dropped down to 22c and I was freezing.
  3. I probably won't be popular, but the lack of any upcoming cold is good news as far as I can see. My monthly fuel bill for this month was £240. Ridiculous I know, esp as I have a good normally economical heating system. Either you don't feel the Cold (which I do, due to m.s) or you are weathy enough to pay these extreme bills. Rant over. Xx
  4. Yes, wind and rain woke me during the night. Surprisingly high gusts too. I do hope that's the end of High winds for a while. Plus, the Wheelie Bin parties must stop! It's a conspiracy I tell you!
  5. The Storm didn't seem as bad as the last one. Kept power which is always welcome. I hope anyone who lost theirs gets it back on quickly. During the last Storm (been so many I forget the name) my Son and his family were without power for over 24hrs. 3 miles away from me. I wonder what the next one will be like. Fingers crossed it will be unnoticeable. As if!
  6. About 12hrs if your Freezer is relatively newish.
  7. Just had a look at Dark predictions. I was surprised to see that most of the UK seems to be in Ireland. Had no idea it had moved! Seriously, I do hope people are not taking this Guy seriously.
  8. Just remembered the '87 storm. My friends Son went into their Bedroom saying "Dad, there's a Tree in our Garden", Dad "We have lots of Trees Son", Son "But it's not our Tree!"
  9. Yes, definitely one to watch out for. Since 1987 and 1991 I have a fear of Wind. Does so much damage and often kills.
  10. A lot of East Yorkshire have lost their power today. Just 2 miles down the a63 they haven't had power since this morning.
  11. Not too bad I hope. Have disliked Wind since '87 and again in '91 when a gust actually lifted my Car whilst I was at "Charlie Brown's Roundabout", It then tore the roof off the local Telephone exchange. Be careful tomorrow, it's far more dangerous during the day.
  12. Ouch. We had Sun for a couple of hours. It didn't get rid of the amazing frost we have. The best I have seen in years. Am East of Leeds on A63
  13. I had no idea how "London centric" everything was until I moved up here. But beware, since I arrived there has hardly been any Snow! If this continues then I am sorry.
  14. Looks to be pretty Windy tomorrow, but it won't make the news as it's not "dahn salf". I am ashamed at how London centric I was. On the bright side I am now Yorkshire centric. On the plus side too, the weather has been shocking in London since I left 3yrs ago. Teehee.
  15. Where I used to live in Woodford, we were at the highest point. So high that St Paul's would have to be completely under water before we even saw any! It was quite common for our Close to have Snow but a few mins down the road, absolutely nothing.
  16. I remember it well. It hardly ever came to fruition and the wailing was awful. Except for the Thundersnow event of 2004, there hasn't been much since.
  17. I saw I too. Very unusual to be so far away and still see it. Doubt it will be much by the time it gets here.
  18. I hope you recover soon. My Son had heatstroke as a Child, was so poorly, but you will recover. Do let us know how you get on. Xxxx
  19. I honestly thought that moving from London to North Yorkshire would see an end to the horrible heat I could no longer bear. I have M.S and the heat has bothered me more as I got older. I seem to have brought the stuff with me. My new Neighbours will blame me entirely for this! Lol
  20. Well, I have been up here for over a year now. I thought 11c may be the norm for June (last year being a fluke) but no, everyone down south is cold, damp and putting the heating back on. Going to be one of my childhood summers, where we would sit in the car eating our lunch, looking at the wet and windy cold beach we were supposed to be sitting on. I hope it cheers up a bit soon.
