  1. Morning. Currently 5°C (8.05am). Had the spooky jaundiced glow everywhere early this am. Some breaks in the cloud briefly revealing the odd TCU's. Some brightness for now, got caught in hail feeding the birds earlier.
  2. Morning. 12.2°C and not quite 10am. Showered about 7am but with the bursts of sunshine the ground is drying. So a chilly weekend instore with good clear air, I hope to hike a small ascent and make the most of the clear views, my last day today of a 20 day radiotherapy treatment programme so I'll see what the weekend brings.
  3. Been absolutely beautiful here so far. Breached 15°C again Macc currently 15.2°C. Man Airport in top 5 at the moment on 15°C. If only these spells would last longer. I was surprised to see that 2 of Maccs reservoirs located in the forest were not at capacity, I've seen then much fuller, hmmmm.
  4. Pleasant afternoon out, not cold but didn't get the sunshine here. Very busy at Macc Forest. Didn't spot any baby lambs, but found some nosey wagu beef cattle. Mud everywhere we walked. Spotted a few llamas.
  5. Certainly brighter than first thing, 15°C currently at Man Airport, shame no sun to go with it. My sister is taking me out shortly, looks like a decent afternoon. The sun is doing its best to break through.
  6. Morning. A quick paddle up the garden, threw some meal worms and sunflower seeds at the bird table and ran back. It's tipping down. 11.4°C. Tut.
  7. Rain came later in the day, so majority of it stayed dry but a bit grey, max of 10.4°C. Spring Equilux tomorrow, where daylight hours become longer than the hours of darkness, clocks go forward end of the month so staying lighter in the evenings.
  8. No evidence of any frost first thing, min 0°C. Oooh tis beautiful currently, puts me in a right smiley mood. Can feel the warmth of the sun through the windows as I watched the ever becoming busy birds swoop for their meal worms. Enjoy while it beams. @iand61 Enjoy your caravan mooching, I would love a weekend bolthole if ever the opportunity arose. I'm looking forward to May, it's a beautiful month. April promises proper spring with hopefully a taste of the first good rumble of thunder. Enjoy the sun, don't look at the radar.
  9. Morning, temps didn't get as high as I thought yesterday, no sunshine to boost them. Rain this am and 11.2°C.
  10. Morning. Still a bit grey, some brightness trying to break through. Dry and 11.2°C, mild start, mildest day so far this year was Feb 15th, max here Macc was 15.1°C, I wonder if today will exceed it? Rostherne max of 15.6°C on 15th Feb, we'll see. There's a little bit of cape over the NW coast and lakes later, If showers intense enough it could spark a flash, not alot of energy and potential is slight.
  11. itsnowjoke sorry to read your post, a pet is very much part of the family it's heartbreaking when we have to say goodbye. 23 years is some good going, your cat was well loved and cared for.
  12. Yes these dry spells are not long enough to dry anywhere out. I agree with the green algae and moss, its covering most of the stone in my garden too. Milder temp now, 14°C in some parts of the region. Sun has tried to shine here, still grey.
  13. Yes it's a different feel without that cold wind, will feel milder Tuesday as southerly winds kick In. Dry and grey, 7°C and the fog is still hanging around higher ground. Looking a bit wet regionwide for tomorrow.
  14. It's a bit wet and grey, current temp 8°C. Just to echo @Joe Snow Post above, this was the scence here on the morning of 10th March last year. It didn't hang about for any children to enjoy after school.
  15. Morning, dry currently and there's a bit of wind, temp 4.8°C. (5.40) looks like rain moving in later this am.
  16. Another dry one, although there was a few spits of rain Withington, Manchester yesterday. Sun put in a late appearance but it didn't really take the edge off the cold. Max of 7.5°C. Still beautiful, better than cold wet.
  17. Clouding in now, skies very milky. Tad cooler than the past two days temp 7.1°C. Fog/mist sat around the hills again.
  18. A touch foggy in parts here, especially higher up. Beautiful again isn't it? Here at lower levels it's bright and sunny as of 8.15am temp 2.4°C.
  19. It's been a mild one, lots of sunshine and some majestic cumulus congestus over this hills which looked like huge mountains of pink shaving foam in the setting sun. Rostherne looks like it maxed at 12.7° C. 12.5°C in the car earlier by the airport. Nice.
  20. Great lyrics, from Signals album 1982 would you believe, time gone in a whisper, I can certainly relate to the lyrics now 42 years later. Absolutely suntastic out there. Max yesterday of 10.3°C. Temp currently 9.5°C. Can really feel the warmth, apricity, of the sun through your clothes. Beautiful.
  21. Lovely jubbly day, blue sky bits of cloud and sunshine. There's a bit of a wind though, temp edging it's way towards double figures. Slight frost this morning and the birds are getting quite noisy first thing.
  22. Beautiful cam that. Noticed too that there's still snow atop of some fells too. Blencathra cam stunning as usual, blue sky, low cloud and snow.
  23. Morning. Bright tangerine sky earlier, slight frost on the bird table and fence top. 2°C and it's dry. No threat of Showers currently on the radar unless you're in the Bowland area.
