I'm not usually one to complain, I love it hot. But it doesn't feel great at all despite being under 30

I was expecting another bust in Kent but the humidity and these beauts suggest we may be in with a shout

Jesus Mary Joseph and the wee donkey! This is the most intense storm I've ever seen!!!! We're talking a flash every 3-5 seconds!!!!!

I thought that looked a bit rotational. Here's hoping you're right!

Can see lightning in the distance from Gravesend now. Praying the north Kent done doesn't go up

Not so sure it's a seagull, that looks like it leaves a trail and we are currently in Perseid meteor shower season

What are the chances of one of those blobs becoming electrified over the Gravesend area? Majority of the action appears to be heading west of Medway from what I can see

Buzzing for the night ahead. I should know by now not to get my hopes up but it's looking increasingly promising by the hour

Seeing some absolutely beautiful convection today. No doubt the Kent 2020 forcefield will be on force but not even mad today. It's amazing how fast these big old marshmallows can grow

Update no 2, cell has passed and our site manager is currently trying to prize the gate open with a crowbar. Will see if I can grab a pic of the damage on my way out at 5. That's if I can get out lol

Update, the lighting hit the gate to our site 20 meters from where I was standing. That was a close one. Gate now won't open, hoping I'm not stuck here tonight lol
