  1. Fair enough, but it hasn’t been 20°C every day has it? I have been about 4 degrees below average this month with very little sun, but your weather has still been a damn lot better than mine. Looking at the forecast for London next week, it looks like perfect summer weather, mostly sunny, 21-24C temps, low humidity, light winds, what’s not to like? London - BBC Weather WWW.BBC.CO.UK 14-day weather forecast for London. Here is my forecast in comparison: BB8 - BBC Weather WWW.BBC.CO.UK 14-day weather forecast for BB8.
  2. Because it’s a very pleasant temperature and I’m sure it’s not as cloudy and miserable as you lot keep making out. I had plenty of mostly cloudy days in the Lo 20’s last July and August and it felt perfect - not too hot and not too cold. Warm enough for shorts and a t-shirt. And London usually gets a spell of uncomfortably hot conditions 28°C+ a few times each summer on average but this year we’ve only had the three or so days in late June. But no one seems to be talking about that... The residents of Brisbane (or anywhere for that matter) would be extremely foolish and ungrateful to complain of 25C temps in summer, considering how dangerously hot it can get (need I remind anyone of the devastating wildfires they had in their last summer?). I’m sure if their next summer mainly consisted of 25-27C temps they would be very grateful indeed...
  3. Agree with both of you. Londoners have much better weather than the rest of the country (summer esspecially) and have become spoiled as a result. This summer in London would be considered good or excellent in most other parts of the country which shows how ungrateful Londoners are. Always moaning because it's a bit cloudy or a bit humid or a bit cool etc. I dread to think how they would cope if they had to spend a summer up here...
  4. Not really, couldn't really go out anywhere except for very local walks in the park or canal etc. Enjoying sunbathing in the garden though.
  5. Yes I think autumn definitely arrived early this year and we had our summer in April and May. Current July average max is 15.7°C here as of yesterday which would be around average if it was May or September, but it’s about 4 degrees below average for July. It’s also been exceptionally cloudy as well.
  6. Lovely sky behind Pendle hill looking northwards. Just a shame the skies weren’t this clear during the day!
  7. Suns just starting to come out here, after being cloudy all day (high of 17C). Pity it will be setting in about 30 minutes time! Will be be a cold night with temperatures dropping into single figures here, and tommorow will be mostly sunny but still cool (only 17/18°C). Weathers completely different up here lol.
  8. Sky slowly beginning to clear from the north as the front moves southwards and the cooler air moves in, just in time for nightfall!
  9. Yes the front is moving further south, should reach you guys by evening.
  10. Same here but only reached 19.3°C at Stonyhurst. Was quite humid though.
  11. Opposite here. Cloudy last few days and damp and drizzly today, but skies forecast to clear tonight and plenty of sunshine forecast for the next few days. Temperatures will be cool though (below 20°C). Still have yet to reach 20°C this month!
  12. Why do you not like clear blue skies? It looks wonderful. The clear days we had during the spring were excellent. I’d rather have sunny and breezy weather than dull, cloudy and no breeze.
  13. Some interesting information there. Thanks for sharing. I remember summers 2011 and 2017 had a lot of sunshine and shower days. Something that’s been lacking this summer and something I’ve missed. Can’t beat good ol’ British Day of sunshine and showers! ?️?
  14. Drizzle here in Lancashire. Always get the most boring weather round here lol.
  15. Yeah the warm air never really reached us. It seems like the sunnier skies stopped short of the south of the region, but at least it was warmer yesterday. We always seem to be on the borderline between the cool and warm air. It’s not been great in the south though either. Obviously better than here though. The skies are forecast to clear during the evening (what a surprise) and it will be a cold night tonight with temperatures dropping into single digits. The next few days look to be mainly sunny with maybe just the odd scattered shower. We will be within in the cooler air though so the temperatures will be pretty subdued for the time of year. But at least it should be sunny.
  16. Thought it would be poor where you live what with the wind WSW and a humid mild tropical maritime type flow and the forecast rain for Cumbria. Never mind. After tommorow it looks better with much more sunshine on offer and not much rain or dampness. Temperatures disappointing though, only 16-19°C, not brilliant for July.
  17. Same here. Dry from lunchtime onwards with light cloud and a few brighter spells. It was also quite humid with dew points not much lower than the temperature. Reached 19.3°C late afternoon at Stonyhurst, not too bad considering what we've had so far. It was also a mild night last night with the temperature not dropping below 14°C. So cloudy, mild and humid. Typical August weather really.
  18. Not that I know of, it is forecast to get sunnier in the days ahead but temperatures nothing to get excited about. I agree about the dullness, it's the cloudiest (and coolest) July I've ever known!
  19. Dull and overcast today here in east lancs , and feeling cool for the time of year with a high of around 17C. No rain though which is good. I don't mind the cloud too much but I wish it was warmer. Been in a hoodie and joggers since end of June! It's July for gods sake, I want some warmth!
  20. December 2017 and January 2018 were mild? I remember having quite a bit of snow and ice in December 2017, and January 2018 had a lot of cold zonality and cold winds. There was also quite a lot of frost during that winter too. The cold was on/off rather than continuous, but still. They definitely felt cold to me!
