  1. Energy bill for the last month was horrific. So glad to have some normal temps back again. Now I can afford not to be cold anymore. Now it's not going to to 11 inside overnight, more like 13-14.
  2. Beautiful mild Xmas day. No ice to bugger up plans and feels splendid outside.
  3. Temp accelerating through 16°C with all radiators on full afterburner. Roll on those milder outdoor temps and it will help out immensely.
  4. Dayuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuum. I had to turn the heating off early today. Got to 17.8°C... started to overheat. The 15 units of alcohol I've consumed so far might have something to do with that, dou.
  5. Yea but I gotta watch my bills! I don't mind cloud in winter,, even sunny days have a very low sun angle and get dark quick anyways.
  6. I'#m known fo0r being a teetoaltller but lately I've been hjaving to deal with all this mcol,d weather and I'[ve never been so drunk as I am now since maybe 2010. Yuck. Hate cold. I honestly am so drunk right now. Only way to cope with this rubbisdh. Hey if it'sgood enough for the guy who suriived the titanitc due to jhis heavyn drikningh, it's ogood enough for me!
  7. All seasons: mildest on record. (Wishful thinking)
  8. Yeah literally every day the past week around here has been like 0 degrees, a treacherous layer of ice on the ground and no actual weather to speak of. Very unexciting.
  9. Thing is my dad now can afford proper heating, but his old habits and conservatism means he STILL doesn't use heating much. He told me he puts it on when his indoor temp is 5°C!
  10. Same here. I can't afford to have heating on outside of 1PM to about 8PM. Specially with the prices at the moment. It went down to a disgusting 10.4°C in the lounge, 'orrible sitting and eating lunch in that, but that's the reality. My dad speaks of the post-war era when people had no money and no central heating and they lived in temps of 8-10°C growing up in winters then.
  11. 3°C at 13:51 ("mildest" since 7th December), ice and snow from 11th STILL on the ground.
  12. I knew things were going mild when I saw desperados cherry picking cold charts from the mighty ICON.
  13. Can't wait for milder weather to finally last longer and longer. This cold spell has been significant IMBG, cause we've had below average now for 18 days here. And by quite some amount. I hope January and February are both the mildest on record.
  14. Up to a toasty warm 17.0°C in my lounge.
  15. -5.1°C was the lowest here this month, which while not exceptional, the duration of the cold has made this the biggest cold spell since probably 2010.
  16. My flat never gets hot in summer as it never gets any sun facing north-west. I'm actually glad as it would stay too hot if it did get sun.
  17. Heating on full afterburner, going up to 14°C and climbing, thermostat is set to 18 but it never gets there
  18. In the winter, mild as possible even if it includes cloud and some rain but preferably showers rather than frontal rain. Sunny cool/cold days are a second best in the winter. In summer I like humid weather with moderate temperatures. 15-22 degrees night/day temps with more regular thunderstorms than we actually get.
  19. 9.0°C in my bedroom this morning, this cold spell needs to do one. That said it helps me get up.
  20. 15.7°C and warming up slowly with all the radiators at full afterburner.
  21. It's a lowly 12.8°C inside as I've just got in from work. Heating up to full now though!
  22. Nothing is wrong with it. Just sharing an experience that helped me tolerate cold better.
