I was in the area at the time, incredible rain in Hythe, so we drove down to Dymchurch and spent 30 mins on the beach (i was with my little one) only for this to develop above us.
Great photo, clouds were pretty good today.

Some very.. VERY dark clouds here following the storms earlier.

Now, now, you're being cruel!
I realised the thunderstorms today are exactly 2 years after another round of thunderstorms, 2 years ago I filmed a clip of the

Here are some video clips of todays storms. Lots of rain, lightning, thunder, surface flooding.
-
Here's a few clips from the storms which rumbled through.

Video?
Yes have been filming will put something together soon, was just waiting as there's more on the radar but I think that's heading further west.
-
Two thunder storms in a row down here about half hour so far, monsoon rain, lightning and thunder.
-
Just had a pretty big storm here.

Radar watching is fun. Radar says storm incoming. Look out the window, there she is. Some great cloudscapes today.

Just enjoyed a cracking thunderstorm half an hour ago, bolt lightning, large hail and monsoon rain. Gutter overflowing with ice from the hail.

Light snow started here, fluffy flakes gently falling, a frost outside with temperature below freezing and still have laying snow from a week ago a good cold spell here.
-
Snowing here too, lightly in the wind but I'll take it.
-
A few photos of the snow and lovely drifts.

Snow snow snow and lots of it! very happy. About 3-4 inches level snow and blown all over the place, up the side of walls and wind carved into big drifts just been for a walk with my camera.
-
Snowed here overnight, lovely deep pink sunrise against the grey sky, temperature dropping since.
Charts now and the next few weeks harking back to winters of old. Party time for the snow lovers.

Snow grains and snizzle here this morning too collecting on roof edges.

Hi fellow southeasters, I've come out of hibernation for the first proper lamppost watch of the season.
Eyes on the sky and radar this evening.

Some photos I took this evening, as the sun set the light caught the high clouds quite nicely:
-
Had fork lightening and the edge of some rain but the main storm went east of here.
-
Some very deep rumbles here now and watching the clouds build.

Still puzzles me to this day why people log off when there's lightning about, this isn't 1998, your PC isn't connected directly to the phone line via a 56k modem!
It was around that year that lightning hit my neighbours roof, I was upstairs at the time and the sound was a deafening crack, lightening travelled down the neighbours aerial lead and surged out their lounge socket set fire to their sofa, travelled down our aerial also, blew the sockets off the wall in the lounge, surged through the electric sockets, blew up my computer mother board. Nowadays I have a PC with power and phone line to router running through a surge protector but after that experience, I often still turn off the computer during big storms.. just in case.
Now looking at radar and there's a nice line of showers coming this way but looks like it might head slightly west of here.
