Shouldn’t the European storms all have a common name list and ones which everyone can easily spell!
Met Office, Met Éireann and the Dutch national weather service jointly named this seasons storms. The storm names got chosen by the public. Maybe the Dutch and Irish also have trouble pronouncing the more English names.

We managed 0.2mm of rain and a 10mph gust from it as it died a failing death crossing us..Just shows hows forecasting has "some" way to go yet..
I had 7.5mm in Bournemouth from Lorenzo. The forecast seemed fairly good to me. The press and TV news reports did seem to hype it up a bit.

Not true. This from someone at meteogroup. "We use what we believe to be showing the best guide...so, if that’s EC, then that’ll be what we choose. Sometimes you may see UKMO global or GFS...sometimes you might just see a jet stream map when confidence is low over the general surface evolution."
