Currently fishing in yateley, so very much going to be out in the open for this event if it comes through. The rods are already starting to beep, so maybe the fish know more than me at the moment. Fish and storms, now there's an old combo that everyone loves. Hope some people get a cracker over the next 24 hours.

Yes, I'm in Bordon, East Hants and at around 1:00am I believe, my house was absolutely shaking from the wind. It woke half the street up as when I was looking out my window I could see everyone with their lights on. On my way to work this morning to Horsham, there looked to be quite a few trees down and branches snapped in the surroundings.

My drive to work is from Bordon to Horsham and it really did and does. Over the winter I have seen dustings on the ground up near Hindhead and Haslemere, where 10 mins down the road in Bordon we have had nothing but the wet stuff. Last Sundays event was definitely good for our side of the county though as driving across the Surrey hills the margin line seemed to be Plaistow. Went from white to green pretty much round one corner. We basically have snow now to.

Time to leave the blogs and the forecasts for tonight. Tomorrow I think I will be letting what falls on my head be my method. Enoy whats happening outside and try not to focus on your screens too much. Good luck and ill be back tomorrow night to talk about what a cracking day of the white stuff we have had. Fingers crossed haha.

I'm down the road in Bordon and it looks like 7 miles south, Petersfield is showing the transition to sleet and rain. We've had literally nothing in the way of snow this year and really am hoping the margins are in our favour tomorrow. It would be nice to walk in the forest with snow falling and the crunch under our feet! Fingers crossed.

On my journey across the Surrey hills this morning from Bordon to Horsham, Hindhead and Haslemere were the only places to have any light dusting of snow on the cars and grass. Was good just to be driving through the snow to be honest. Seems for now we are clutching at the tiniest of winter straws. Still early on in the season with plenty of opportunity ahead though.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas. I was poking my head into this forum every now and then. I think regarding that Monday low, we really have to wait and see with regards to Bella passing through. I dont think we will have too much confidence till tonight if not tomorrow mornings runs. I will be fishing 6am tomorrow morning until Monday evening in Surrey, so it'll be what touches my head is the weather. Interesting model watching for the short term that's for sure.

Summer 2020 - Moans, Ramps & Chat
BeazleyBlizzard replied to CheesepuffScott's topic in Spring Weather Discussion
Aslong as that 25c is in the south becuase if its 25c up north we will be sweltering at a 30c summer. Air con units would go through the roof. The tropical nights are definitely something we would have to adapt to! -
I would usually agree but the fish in the rivers and fisheries have suffered so much lately due to the high temps and low oxygen levels. The rain we have had recently and the high winds have cooled the water down and got the oxygen levels on the rise. As a regular angler, catch and release only, I am very happy for the early autumnal weather at the moment. Indian summer on the way wouldn't be to bad though .

I have a feeling this year the storms may be dodging me. Working in horsham today, there was nothing but sunshine and clouds building, to unleash its wrath a tad north. Whilst at home in East hampshire, a huge storm was erupting for the missus to enjoy, but not record for me. Get home and miss it by 30 minutes. Was interesting to see the temperature go from 36c in horsham to 22c, 35 miles down the road. Fingers crossed for something to pop up out of the blue in the near future. At least the cooler weather allows me to get back on the bank and get fishing again. -

Have had confirmation of lightning in Wandsworth, no thunder. Seen the clouds building dramatically here in Horsham but missed us, only to unleash itself a tad north.
