  1. Loving all the pictures being posted this morning. It just started snowing this morning in Barnehurst just as I was leaving for work - settling in the usual places - but only a light dusting. Got to Central London to the usual wet pavements and no snow A great start to winter - lets hope it continues!
  2. "The idea is that it will work alongside the main model discussion and chat thread but be slower paced, with peoples thoughts and summaries of the current models within it - a sort of one stop shop for people to use as a quick summary of what is going on away from the fast paced world of the main thread" So in a little nut shell for those who didn't read and understand the whole point of the thread... expect the one liners to be deleted
  3. As long as it's melted by the time I go back to work on the 27th! Snow is welcome over night and weekends only when it comes to train travel and trying to home from work (I don't care if I can't actually get in )
  4. Not really had the chance to come on here much today, but I have had the chance to see what GP's thoughts are for the winter, and I must say, I feel rather encouraged! Fingers crossed we all see some of the white stuff this December and beyond!
  5. Blimey, not often you get me up past Midnight discussing the weather, but the winds have woke me up!
  6. Yeah, am thinking its an 'is that it' moment! Am off to bed - if it's that good, it will wake me up...
  7. waiting for it to arrive here - not stayed up this late for the weather since the last snow forecast!
  8. Certainly is quite breezy here at London Bridge - just come back from lunch and my hair is now a total frizz!
  9. I'm working right next to the Shard at London Bridge today - couldn't see the top third of it this morning as it was shrouded in mist and fog!
  10. Blimey, thank you to everyone that wished me a Happy Birthday in this thread - wasn't expecting so many of you to take the time to do so, so a great big...... THANK YOU!!
  11. Aww, thanks Ali and Robin. Am making the most of a quiet house at the moment, then off round the parents later for a birthday meal. Then lunch with my sis tomorrow. Think I will be half a stone heavier by Monday!!!
  12. It already is for me - a nice day off work. Shame is so dull and cloudy out there
  13. I know how do add pictures (I think!) but I don't have a clue how to post a picture from the internet. Can anyone help me with that (what's the better I feel stupid when I find out how easy it is )
  14. Jasmine, there is a thread dedicated to the weather for the South East in the Regional area of Net Weather. Follow this link: http://forum.netweather.tv/topic/74874-south-east-east-anglia-regional-discussion-november-1st-2012/ In the mean time, I'll lock this thread.
  15. I see I wasn't the only one the rain woke up in the early hours of the morning! Hammered it down on my bedroom window. Quite a chilly breeze blowing through London town this morning - certainly has an Autumn nip to the air!
  16. In that case, I will make sure my lamp post bulb never goes out before April!
  17. Is that a slight ramp I read Chio? Yeah, I noticed how breezy it was earlier - whilst getting soaked by drizzle. Not a good look!
  18. I know - I thought that as I was typing it! But surely chances are there will be another chance in the next 4 odd months?! Plus I can't see sleet properly via the lamp post outside my house. Can't beat staying up for proper snow flakes!
  19. Lol, think I might sleep through this one - I would only stay up for this if it was the last crack at a winter flurry. Not too worried since it's only October (although I may regret this statement if this is the coldest it gets between now and April)
  20. Morning all. I woke up this morning regretting sleeping with the windows open Also, not only is it cold out there, but where is the sunshine? Cold drizzle is not good!
  21. My eyes, my eyes! The fog has lifted and there is a bright yellow ball in the sky!
