    Luckily I'm working from home today ❄

    Must have been under a beefy shower or 2 overnight as now have a nice covering on pavements that it didn't settle on yesterday. I'd estimate around 1cm falling. Topping up the 1cm we got yesterday. Not as much as I had hoped, but can't complain. Am hoping things fall in place later for an ENE wind and a Thames streamer Snow is also pepping up in Bexleyheath again, more snizzle that juicy flakes, but coming down none the less.

    I'm getting the impression winds aren't going to swing ENE overnight, which is gutting as I had pinned my hopes on a Thames streamer *sob*

    Does anyone know if winds will start to veer ENE at any point this evening or overnight?

    Had about an hour of heavy-ish snow before it has turned back to snizzle. A light covering, so can't complain. Hoping a Thames streamer sets up later as I think that's my best chance of a decent covering

    Finally proper heavy snow and settling on most surfaces. Long time coming, but looks like ground temperature has finally gone below zero ❄

    Brightening up in Bexleyheath now with a few flakes blowing around. Am actually hoping it drys out for an hour or two in the hope that if anything falls later this afternoon or evening it might attempt to settle properly.

    I've just looked out the window in our garden and it is starting to settle now. Trees look like a winter wonderland. Out the front, it's only settling on cars. Although it has turned back to snizzle now and the sky is getting brighter

    Proper flakes here now (after a morning of snizzle), quite heavy too, but still won't bloody SETTLE. Argghh!!

    Snizzle blowing in the wind here. Not settling anywhere. Gutted isn't the word. I really had hoped I was in for a shot this time *kicks pram over in a temper*

    It's now lightly snowing in Bexleyheath but not settling. What a waste

    I hope so! I must be mad, setting my alarm for 5am on a Sunday morning!! Still raining here btw

    Well, instead of dusting off my sledge, I'm going to dust off my glasses. I wear contact lenses all day so don't have much need for my glasses. However, I am going to have to be able to see our lamppost and what is falling from the sky come 3am, so I'm off to dig out the windowlean and clean them till the sparkle

    @Paul Sherman @kold weather A stupid question to ask, but when the transition from rain to snow starts happening overnight, will the dew points be low enough for it to start settling? I would hate to wake up tomorrow morning to see it snowing, but not settling anywhere. (If I'm not already jumping the gun for assuming the snow will make it as far West as Bexleyheath!)

    Think I'm going to take a break from here for 24 hours... Not sure my nerves can stand this rollercoaster of excitement followed by disappointment, will it, won't it...

    Overnight frost rapidly melting in Bexleyheath now. Fully expecting a sleety mess if it ever arrives

    Nothing yet in Bexleyheath, but it has got very dark. Please weather god, let it snow

    It's nice to see it falling in the light of the lamppost, just wish it would settle!
