  1. Still small flakes here, but heaviest it's been all day. I would guess we have around 3cms so far
  2. Very fine snow in Bexleyheath, giving a covering. Is there any chance of the flakes getting bigger and the fall getting heavier? Or is this going to be another event like Friday, as in snowing all day but only getting 1-2cm?
  3. My gripe is, Dave didn't post his thoughts and opinions in any of the London and SE threads during the course of the past few days - if he had, I would respect his post - but he didn't. And that's why it came across as gloating - because he came in this thread, posted what he did, but yet in the course of all this cold spell hasn't once given his opinion of his thoughts of how it would pan out! I would love to hear Dave's thought of Sunday and how that will turn out?
  4. If you felt we were being mislead, why didn't you post you thoughts and forecast in here? It's all very good to come in here and gloat after the event when you didn't even bother to post your thoughts and opinions on the out put of the models!
  5. Thanks Robbie - so no need to set the alarm as I have children to wake me up before then!
  6. Does anyone know when the ETA of snizzle expected to arrive in the London area tomorrow?
  7. Got quite a thaw going on in Bexleyheath today - the whopping 1cm of snow accumulated yesterday is well and truly melting. I want to build my hopes up about tomorrows prospects, but I dunno - got a feeling it might be marginal - at least until after dark.
  8. Well, we had (almost) 12 hours of continuous snow (well, I say snow - more like dust grains) - and we managed (tops) a whopping 1cm. Give me wet snow and a Thames Streamer any day over that - we would be about 2 foot under snow if that has happened! Roll on Sunday's big disappointment if the storms tracking in our direction has anything to go by the past 5 odd years (so we won't get nowt)
  9. Just got home from work - twas lovely hearing the crunch of snow under foot and staring at the lamp posts at the snow fluttering down whilst walking from the train station - although annoying when they got in my eyes or went up my nose Still snowing in Bexleyheath, but not sure for how much longer?
  10. Unless that band gets a move on East, I think there will be a lot of disapointed people in SE London/Kent/Essex today. They should have given the weather warnings in mm, not cm for our bit of the SE corner I am pleased that those to the West of the region are getting loads of snow though *prays for a Thames Streamer over the weekend*
  11. Yep, it's certainly picked up pace out there - flakes are slightly bigger too
  12. Been very light snow here in London Southbank since just before 9am. It is settling on the roof outside my window, very fine grains of snow blowing about in the wind Manager has said she will send us all home early afternoon if things get bad...
  13. I keep meaning to go to bed, but I just can't resist one last look at this thread - an hour later, and I'm still here, refreshing the page...! Right, I am going to drag myself away! Night all, and enjoy the snow fest tomorrow
  14. I'll go for the 4/6 Fav Paul -ever the pessimist that I am!
  15. If the front could be delayed the the SE till after I've got in from work, I would be most grateful - I really don't fancy not being able to get home for the weekend and go out and play in it!
  16. Aww, I hope you have settled in Steve - keep focused on 18 months time! In the mean time, fingers crossed for both Bexleyheath and Greenhithe/Bluewater this Winter! We all still have a couple of months to go for some decent sledging fun!
