    To be honest, the media of recent times haven't helped with situations like this. They usually blow all potential weather disruptions with OTT headlines (like weather bombs, the UK being buried under 2 foot of snow etc) that no one believes anything anymore. You can see why the general public don't take any notice anymore.

    Very, and I mean very distant rumbles here. Can only hear it with the TV volume down, windows open and holding my breath, but I hear thunder ⛈

    No sure if it's wishful thinking on my part, but I swear I can hear distant (and I mean distant!) rumbles here?

    Back home in Bexleyheath now, and had rumbles of thunder since I got off the train. Seems I'm on the edge of a storm. Whoever is under this storm is so lucky! My daughter who works local in Bexley has said it's been rumbling on and off all afternoon ?

    Are you at home in Bexley Harry? Typically, I am working in the office today in London and not a thing here! Always on the days I am not WFH

    It will be a miracle if anyone can sleep in this claggy heat! Nothing but rain here (surprise surprise) but please for those to my South and East getting some storms!

    The snow shower didn't last long, and it's back to sunny skies again. Snow has pretty much melted now out of the shade

    After a lovely sunny morning, it's now clouded over and light snow is falling in Bexleyheath.

    Lovely morning here. No snow, but crisp clean blue skies. It's actually nice to have a break from the cloud (maybe not so much the snow). It's amazing what a bit of blue sky and sunshine does to lifts the mood

    Skies have darkened again and it's started to snow again. A change in wind direction to ENE again perhaps?

    Pretty much stopped snowing in Bexleyheath now, and a slight thaw happening (particularly on the pavements). Skies are dark to my north, but think the wind has changed from ENE which is why the shower train seems to be skirting north now. Very pleased with this morning's snow though as wasn't really expecting anything much ❄?

    Skies are brightening now and snow very light. The end of the streamer?

    Heavy bursts of snow now in Bexleyheath, probably the best I have seen during daylight hours in this spell. Has a Thames snow streamer set up at last?

    Just seen this Paul following my post above. Would explain the decent snow amounts currently falling outside ❄❄

    Scrap my post above, just looked out the window and it's snowing heavily and all surfaces are white. Any footsteps on the pavement have filled in quite nicely. So now I'm a glass half full kinda girl

    About 36 hours of almost constant light snow in my location but hardly anything to show for it. I'm not really holding out much hope overnight either - I'm a glass half empty kinda girl

    Hi Paul, do you have a rough time of when the winds swing ENE? I'm pinning my hopes on a Thames snow streamer tonight for my location

    It's stopped snowing here now and the skies are starting to clear. Not sure if that bodes well for a Thames snow streamer later or not? ??
