Where has this afternoon come from? It's glorious. Every forecast I saw in the days leading up to it was dreadful. Clouds keep threatening but the sun keeps burning them off. Lovely.

ANYWEATHER we didn't in Walsall, however it was only a few light drops for a couple of minutes mid afternoon. Otherwise a crackiǹg day.

First mow of the lawn for me yesterday, got me thinking how it barely had to survive frost this winter. Does anyone have any stats on how many frost days their were in the 23/24 winter season?

Really nice out there, best of the 3 days of Spring that we've had so far (although it's not technically started) Nice of it to give us a teaser before winter returns at the weekend.

Interesting post on Facebook by British Weather Services ( a site I've found to be really good over the years) https://www.facebook.com/BritWeatherSvs The UK will go into the fridge freezer from the 21st, snow for large parts of the north , bits & pieces further south. Sudden Stratospheric warming/Polar vortex dislocation being responsible. One to watch. Model thread getting excited already

Met office getting a caning on social media for issuing that warning on Monday, surely it's better than being unaware though. And it gave everyone a lot to talk about. Horrible morning

Yeah, that's the one. I followed him for a long time on various formats and he always takes time to explain his thought process (like you though a bit deep for me) , always giving a summary of what he thinks could happen and why. Lets hope for some dry , bright weather to start with and kick on from there.
