  1. Don't know what your trying to show there, but the metoffice does show East Yorkshire and Lincs in prime position along with West Yorkshire. Warnings seem fine too me.

    Lewis

Looks like it'll be mainly dry with just the odd light shower to me, and speaking from a selfish perspective after a 2 hour journey home on roads like glass the sooner it stops and warms up the better.

  2. VP theres no problem in having a difference of opinion, i was more highighting the se as thats the area that would be most effected by any easterly, before that theres still snow chances for other areas, of course more eastern and ne areas would always be favoured with the current pattern but as an example of how surprises pop up, i was speaking to friends in Cornwall today who woke up to snow this morning.

I have to say i'm not at all sold on that theory, from the last 4 easterlys i can remember Lincoln has only had notable snowfall once, the last easterly cold spell delivered less than an inch, the one before that brought sleet.

  3. Why when it isn't a problem why waste the money ??? Surely you've already got the data as that would be one of the first things you'd measure would it not and we know it's not a problem so why waste the money.

You'd want to base a mission costing billions of dollars on data gathered over 40 years ago?

A career at NASA awaits you!

  4. So if we did go how come we've never been back since and only now taking surveys about the effects of radiation???

Well the extreme cost involved, the voting publics desire to see taxes spent on more worthwhile eartly problems , not to mention that only 1 country in the world had the rescources and techical capability to do it might have something to do with it.

Oh, and we are going back.

  5. They could have put the arrows anywhere.

Anyway here's the moon landings debunked http://www.ufos-aliens.co.uk/cosmicapollo.html :)

    The radiation belts http://imagine.gsfc.nasa.gov/docs/ask_astr...rs/970228a.html

Ah yes, that old load of rubbish, good to see it wheeled out in desperation again.

IF Nasa didn't go to the moon, and bearing in mind the Apollo craft were independently tracked by other countries including their then arch enemy the USSR do you not think those countries would have provided solid proof that it was a hoax? And looking at it from Nasa's point of view, which of the following do you think would be easier?

Spend $25 billion, employ 100's of thousands of people, create new technology, the most complicated machine ever created, and then create an elaborate hoax and keep lying about it for 40 years?

    Or

Build a space craft and go to the moon?

  6. There is so much RUBBISH on the internet and You tube at the moment about 2012 and how everything will end...blagh..blagh.

They are even bringing out a film about it for goodness sake! The only thing that will happen in 2012 is that the sun will come up and go down again and it will only be another 4 days until Xmas, then if the world does end we will all be too pi**ed and stuffed to care!

There may be problems with electricals and computers so i would be taking some hard copies of everything for safe keeping just in case :)

That's gonna be one short year, I might not bother having a holiday that year.

  7. Well, I am home but that was a truly frightening experience driving to work in Lincoln this morning. There aren't many hills in this county but I had to drive down one and up another to get to work and cars were zig zagging all over the place. Not a single road was clear. I felt really wobbly by the time I got into the office.

The snow stopped at lunch time and, thankfully, all but small residential roads are clear now.

The thing is, I went to bed thinking we were forecast rain for today and it took me completely by surprise. I heard the local radio forecasting heavy snow tonight again.

Fun wasn't it, it's now raining in the Outer circle road area of the city.
