  1. Stockton on tees calling. just spent the last hour and half in my front garden with a pipe full of condor, glass of gin and a couple of Stella’s watching Thor shoot some bolts. never seen as many flashes on a night time for quite some time. going to refill the gin and roll a cig and see what else is about.
  2. I would dare say it is, looking at the good old Blitzortung looks like it’s picking up and scooting through
  3. Stockton on tees calling. first flash and rumble looks like it’s going to be an interesting night
  4. Sun is back out and the heat and humidity have really upper. I’m not the biggest fan of lightning but if I am able to move without ending up looking like I’ve just been drenched then bring on the storms.
  5. She’s trying, just had a brief convective shower that lasted all of three minutes huge drops but went as quick as it came.
  6. Staring to rain here in Stockton with some proper big convective drops I’d say about the size of 10p pieces. doesn’t seem to be increasing in heaviness, I just feel when the sun comes back out it’s just going to add to an already insufferable humidity level.
  7. Feeling your pain, I’m just outside of Middlesbrough and sat in my garage with a pipe and beer and I’m literally cascading in sweat.
  8. smoking some st Bruno and Something is deffinitely on the way. The humidity is insufferable and there has been a marked increase in wind speed.
  9. Here in the north east it is positively tropical, yes there’s a breeze but it isn’t helping. it is the type of day where any sort of manual activity just ends with you dropping with sweat. the instability is really picking up here, and by the looks of it I’m right in the firing line.
  10. Holy hell flash and instant boom of thunder..... Stockton on tees
  11. Interesting day here in stockton on tees, seen the towers heard a few rumbles but it has somehow skirted us all day.
  12. I think it's going to be a soggy one mate, like a wet weekend in filey.... And yes I am speaking from experience...... A weekend in a caravan at the blue dolphin..... Haha
  13. Well here in stockton on tees the weather forecast wasn't wrong.... Absolutely teeming down and now a lot cooler, almost freezing in comparison to the last week, I'll be looking foreward to sleeping in much cooler temperatures tonight
  14. Looks to be an interesting day, I'll be keeping a close eye on this one and see if it comes to anything. Last time we were under warning it was Scotland that got hammered and it skirted round us but we will see.
  15. So yesterday.... What the heck happened!?!? Really humid and close all day and the clouds just kept bubbling up from about 4pm onwards was certain it was going to go bang but never did. Had a look this morning on blitzortung and it seems out of nowhere the North Sea got a massive jolt of electricity and that was where the powder keg went bang. Oh well..... Maybe next time.
