I am a very experienced forecaster and annalist who studies climatology/ meteorology with over 25 years of weather/climate records to date. I own a digital and manual weather station (monitored 24hrs a day) and report advanced winter and summer forecasts to the highways agencies and utility sectors within Wales. 

I became officially a Qualified meteorologist/ climatologist following completing my education at Exeter in 1999. 

I am a recognised person at the met office and was offered a position there but choose to carry on my profession outside of the organisation due to family commitments. 

I dont often post on here especially when I feel it might be against somebody's preference as to the weather I think will unfold when models might be saying something different at the time. Disappointments are sadly a common issue in the model threads when someone's weather preference fails to materialise. Weather will do what it wants but we can only try to annalise and predict it as accurately as we can. All the pros and cons should be weighed up carefully when making a final judgement call on what to expect when situations become unbalanced and unknown. In these unknown times it is often best to be patient and to make a forecast with low confidence expressed until nearer the time when a more clearer pattern emerges on the direction of the weather trends moving forward.
