  1. Yeah DXR - just noticed the fax charts after I posted....here's hoping, not sure it will come to anything as it looks to hit us in the afternoon, and I dont think the temps will be too conducive... Fingers crossed tho
  2. BBC website showing heavy snow for Stirling tomorrow... Can't see where that's coming from unless it's from the west..
  3. Huntly A96... This is what's meant to be coming south...
  4. http://www.sat24.com/gb to the NW of Scotland... it's a corker
  5. Dunno mate - but I'm curious to see what the front to the north brings later on...Also - that mass move in from the west as well as long as the temps hold low, might be interesting.
  6. http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/satpics/latest_uk_ir.html IR shows the PL away by 0300, but now, at 0600 it's starting to sort itself out again only closer to the mainland...
  7. Yeah shuggee, I spotted that on sat24 sat pics (posted as such a few posts/pages back - looks interesting !
  8. The 6z ensembles are quite frankly, scary. The agreement for all members to show even colder conditions after a "warmer" day, is astounding. I think this week is going to be something special.
  9. Nice trough action for midnight...hopefully be a little bit north from there
  10. Not sure - but looking at the looped sat images and xc wind - the top end of the front that's walloping englandshire, looks to be being swept back in towards the east coast...don't think the wind is strong enough - and I may be talking wodscallop....
  11. Think Wed or Thursday may some snow for us....
  12. The GFS looks to play around with another easterly as well...this month will be long remembered, not for snow perhaps up here, but certainly for the sheer coldness of it....
  13. http://sat24.com/Region.aspx?country=gb&am...r&type=loop Sat24 shows some build up coming in from the Irish Sea that would appear to come straight in across the Central Belt - maybe some more snow today....certainly, in Glasgow, the cloud cover looks very heavy just now.
  14. According to the beeb beta site - we've got more snow passing over us from the west on Tuesday.... Just checked on the Ensembles I don't think I've ever seen such agreement out to such a (what is after all FI) timescale... Awesome stuff - this will be the winter you tell your children's children about
  15. We eventually ended up with around 4cm in Stirling Heavy snow shower as I left the house at 0515 - Glasgow looks all white ! Happy Camper here
  16. Snowing in Stirling just now - nothing mega, slight dusting, but I fully expect carnage on the roads tomorrow morning with Sky/ITV/BBC all reporting from an icy pavement near me....
  17. Pmsl - I've read Shugee's opening post in the new model thread. Britain indeed doesn't stop at the Watford Gap.
  18. Cant talk just now, I'm bleeding profusely from the razor cut
  19. MetO have issued a warning for Central region at 1630 for heavy snow. How do you spell kiss of death ? Oh wait, I just did.
  20. Hee Haw here just now... It's baltic though...
  21. On Sat24 - are those streamers forming as they come across the Irish sea ? Something certainly seems to be brewing as the front moves over Ireland and the sea to the mainland. The temp here is falling away, so my hopes are starting to raise again...
  22. http://www.netweather.tv/forum/index.php?act=Stats <_< - Some of us Scots are in the top 20 for today !
