Yeah DXR - just noticed the fax charts after I posted....here's hoping, not sure it will come to anything as it looks to hit us in the afternoon, and I dont think the temps will be too conducive... Fingers crossed tho
Dunno mate - but I'm curious to see what the front to the north brings later on...Also - that mass move in from the west as well as long as the temps hold low, might be interesting.
http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/satpics/latest_uk_ir.html IR shows the PL away by 0300, but now, at 0600 it's starting to sort itself out again only closer to the mainland...
The 6z ensembles are quite frankly, scary.
The agreement for all members to show even colder conditions after a "warmer" day, is astounding.
I think this week is going to be something special.
Not sure - but looking at the looped sat images and xc wind - the top end of the front that's walloping englandshire, looks to be being swept back in towards the east coast...don't think the wind is strong enough - and I may be talking wodscallop....
The GFS looks to play around with another easterly as well...this month will be long remembered, not for snow perhaps up here, but certainly for the sheer coldness of it....
