  1. Massive temp increase in 2 hrs 7pm it was 0.5c and now 3.2c. Even if the front makes landfall will be rain. Just not cold enough. Hope it stays away.
  2. Down here on the riviera it has been the coldest 7 days recorded for many years so i cant grumble! Sunny days! Frosty days an hour of snow monday evening that left a nice covering. First since 2018.. looks cold again tomoz here 3c then 4c or 5c so not all bad! I know weirdly the north has been warmer the past week which is probably why this spell seems so short after the models and signals promised so much!
  3. Yeah agree i dont think it will be half as cold as was originally modelled esp further south. Im just outside of southampton and this morning is the first time it has reached 5c since saturday so thats my cold spell! Nxt week here with a northerly doesnt produce temps around 5 or 6 but dry which is much needed!
  4. The only thing they mention at the very end of the update is milder conditions returning at the weekend. But we knew that i guess.
  5. Coming down hard on the princetown webcam, looks as though the moors are sucking the intensity out.. not sure it will even make dorset with anything meaningful on it
  6. What models do the BBC use? Just watched the 10pm forecast and the temperatures are no lower than 4 or 5 in scotland nxt wed/thurs? Down south its rain start of the week and 9 or 10 degrees???
  7. Yeah same here according to the met office xmas eve and xmas day are warmer than any time from now until then here.
  8. Yep agree ese can be snow on immediate coast but its very marginal. Ths majority of the time its rain which isnt great for me!
  9. Yeah it was well voiced to be 3 or 4 ice days when in reality where i am its none... today it was 0.4c max..tomoz 1c wed 3 thurs 3 etc
  10. That would be rain for all coastal areas with an onshore breeze...no good
  11. Yes i totally get that as the apps pushed the mild out from wednesday to sat/sun initially then yest we were remaining cold here for the weekend. Lets hope the models flip and it stays cold and dry. I for one much prefer it to 11 degrees with heavy rain every day
  12. Yeah all the apps bbc metcheck metoffice, netweather slightly less so with 5 degrees on sunday but still that trend.
  13. Met office are pushing the milder air in earlier now 7 or 8 degrees at the weekend. Hopefully its wrong but feels like most sites are trending that way. Nice to have it cold and dry, already noticed how the real saturation of the ground has been sucked up by the cold.
  14. Well the radar gave me hope 2/3 hrs ago as expected fizzling away to nothing as it travels south... shocking i see nothing for us now
  15. Theres a chance we might pick up some more ligh flurries from it if it keeps progressing.. good stuff is up north newbury way which is a shame!
  16. Gone l snizzly 6 miles s/e of soton now, not sleet but not snow dont think its the temp as 0c currently. Earlier it was lighter but with flakes very strange
  17. I thought u might have caught a little more as i only caught the very edge of heavier band looked as though portsmouth/gosport were unerneath it before it slid over iow?
  18. Snow flurry for 4 hrs solid now 6 miles s/e of southampton managed to get the lightest of coverings...barrel scratching i know!
