    Just turned back to sleet here Matt. Seems evaporative cooling in heavy PPN is why it's so hit and miss at present

    Sticking to the grass. Feel we will need a blizzard for it to stick to the pavements and roads wich are soaked. Nice to see even before Winter has even started.

    Coming down quite heavy aswell. That low seems to have more PPN than forecast. If the temps play ball the mids could well get a few centimetres.

    Yh we have the PPN but temps and dew dew points a tad to high. We have a window 1am to 8am where it should start turning to snow as the mild sector gets pushed East. But at best I think it will be a wintery mix. Mountains could get a pasting though not bad for November. ❄❄❄

    It's that time of the year when we all get excited by the mere mention of a flake. Chance of snow anywhere on Friday nite into Saturday morning it seems. Each model track the low path differently should be firmed up by tonight if I was a betting man I think it's prime for Cheshire gap activity and this will show up by tomorrow morning on the models.     With all the technology they still cant nail down the snow line. Just so many factors to take into account. Like you said it knife edge big time.

    Is it my eyes or is the system way bigger than predicted are the showers from the north joining the party and maybe that's what's mixing the uppers.

    Mate I want to be positive but been here so many times last 2 years it will be sleet at best. Tonight's charts confirm this. Take my advice get a good night's sleep lol.

    Yep system is about 20 miles North than predicted. But cold air is mixed and not as south as predicted. So who knows what the hell will happen I think it will be sleet for my area. We cant get a break lol.

    Strange as the low is clearly more South maybe theres more cold air mixed in. We straw clutching though. But just a smidge North and the Midlands gets buried.

    Hat trick gfs is further south with low system by about 50 miles or so. Midlands looks like cold rain maybe a bit of sleet in the early hours. When will I learn that it always goes tits up.

    Was awaiting the downgrade I predict patchy rain. It will keep correcting further South. We never going to get a decent snowfall it seems.
