Doubt showers will make it here from the north east on Tuesday.
I’ve seen heavy snowfall from the north east.
why people say that a north east wind ain’t good for the North west, is beyond me ..I’d rather have a North Easterly than some watered down North westerly

That's the problem, we didn't have enough, I wish we did, right now drought is almost a certainty, if we have a dry spring, summer.
Try living in the North West of England were it rains for fun.

Ain’t been on here much of late due to working lots of overtime.
don’t think today was worthy of a Amber warning, been very gusty and had a decent snow shower this afternoon. Looks promising tomorrow for some laying snow for a time.

It's getting it into the reliable that is the difficult thing. Just over 2 weeks time and it'll be late winter meteorological wise and we've yet to see a proper cold spell. But I remember thinking the same thing in 2018 and we got that fantastic spell of weather in late Feb and the mini beast in mid March. I can wait if we can get a something close to a repeat. I do think the astronomical calendar for winter is a better representation of general weather conditions though so most of March I'd class as winter. Everything still looks in a winter state as well - no leaves on trees etc.
Booked my flight to Thailand 24th of February, coming back month later.
so I’m hoping for a big freeze before I go. End of March, I tend to look for a warm spring.- 10
