  1. I knew I shouldn't have reset my weather station last night, my pressure gauge is massively out. The wireless went down last night just as it got cold! Just checked wunderground and it shows 1022mb for Benfleet
  2. Overnight minimum of 4.3c at 7:18amCurrently 9.5c 1016.4mb rising
  3. Currently 12.2c, been very clear most of the day with some warm sunshine, feeling quite cool outside though with a light wind. Clouding over now 7.8c overnight low at between 6-7am this morning
  4. That's odd! So has mine What you been feeding him/her? I knew I shouldn't have given mine them sausages last night!
  5. Is it strange that this far out almost every model is showing the same kind of story? A well developed / slightly developed low, sat over some area of the UK. I know the track and intensity will change 100 times before next weekend, but each model is showing the same kind of LPS, is this common?
  6. Wow. Last night was pretty exciting, but that chart is just mental! Not too many people are gonna want to see something like that forming near our shores, the UK will be ripped to shreds
  7. I'm sure someone mentioned once the storm has passed it's meant to get milder? All the temperature has done here is climb! It's over 15 degrees again! When's it gonna end
  8. Temperature is starting t orise now here 12.7 to 13.3c, increase of 0.6c Pressure is now at 985.3mb and still lowering. Been raining for a few hours now, wind is slightly picking up, but nothing much yet Benfleet, Essex
  9. Does anyone have a link where we can track this low ? waiting for the 00h update from the meteocentre, is there something with more regular updates?
  10. Sky news have just reported that the MET have predicted gusts at Heathrow up to 80kts. Cargo holds cannot be opened with winds over 40kts. Lots of planes could end up grounded tomorrow morning! EDIT: I'm too slow
  11. Posted this earlier but don't think many people see it. Weather station in Bexhill (near Hastings, south coast) http://www.bexhillsc.co.uk/index.php/weather/bsc-weather-station.html quick with updates and also displays max recorded wind / gust
  12. Has anyone else noticed that from the 18h pressure charts with a 989mb low, the 19h charts have lessened the low intensity to 992mb? http://meteocentre.com/analyses/map.php?map=eur_full&date=2013102719&size=large〈=en&area=eur
  13. Wish I could get down there, trains are still running up to this evening, but like you said I'll be stranded there till 9am at the earliest, and god knows how long it'll take to clear the line if things get bad. Where abouts are you in Southend btw, on the seafront?
  14. Yes same here, NW is taking a hammering right now I suppose? Nearly 700 people viewing this topic!
  15. I would love to be able to get to Southend tonight, tide times show a high tide at 5am, which is pretty much perfect! I can get up there easy as c2c are still running, trouble is getting back! Part of the rail line at Chawkwell is say 5-10 meters from the sea wall, I can't see c2c operating between Benfleet & Southend tomorrow morning
  16. Here's a link - http://www.weatheronline.co.uk/cgi-bin/expertcharts?LANG=en&MENU=0000000000&CONT=ukuk&MODELL=nae&MODELLTYP=1&BASE=-&VAR=pslv&HH=15&ZOOM=0&ARCHIV=0&RES=0&WMO=&PERIOD= Every 6 hours
