I much preferred the story that you created the user name and the American's were so inspired they made a road and named it after you. My hopes were shattered!!!!! lol
  2. You went to primary at under a foot tall Did you have to stand on the school chairs to see above the table or were you given a booster seat
  3. After an overnight (inside) low of 6.9c the heating is now back on and the house is steadily warming up, currently 10.1c
  4. There wasn't any extreme pressure in the system, just due to the cold, the trv's opened with their frost setting lol The boiler wasn't running during the night as I had a few leaks, didn't want to deal with them, (slow leaks) so pressurised this morning, thats then the trv's opened up, (I'm not an expert on central heating or plumbing) you can probably tell haha Tomorrow I will get some blanking nuts, stick them on the trv's, then re-pressurize the system and bleed the rads accordingly, I need some heat in this house :O Everyone else has vacated, I'm the only one left, I'm a coldy but this is rediculous :O
  5. Woke up this morning, pressurized the boiler as the house was wayyyyy to cold. The house is being decorated right now so the rads are off also, pressurized the boiler and boom, 2 TRV's popped open, massive leaks, mopped it all up, drained down the heating system and waiting on some blanking nuts for the TRV's. Had no heating all day here apart from the gas fire in the lounge, but turned that off (as is costs a bomb) Current house temp. 9.1c, last nights inside low, 7.9c
  6. Nice and toasty in the house right now! A Balmy 12.5c lol! Need to re pressurise the boiler but cant be bothered
  7. After doing some decorating and removing radiators (and finding a leak) which depressurized the boiler, the inside temperature got down to a lovely 14.7c this morning. I had my coat on in the house, but decided to fix the leaks and get the boiler running before the family came home lol. House is now 17.3c
  8. I also love this kind of weather, if there's no snow, and no true cold, there is the bracing wind, that makes it feel raw! The sun is also peeking through occasionally for the mildies lol
  9. If the admin of a weather site goes for 5.2c,then it has to be 5.1c for me! ever the slight optimist
  10. Looking at the 48 forecast for overnight tonight, temps will be lower here (from a minimum of 1.6c) to a suggested minimum of -1.3c, 'sleet' is forecast for my area instead of last nights 'rain' which turned into 'some wet snow'. DP also looks to be around 1c lower than this morning when the wet snow fell . Tonight though I'm going to get some sleep lol
  11. Yikes, radar updated, huge chunks of snow just turned to rain and sleet, and my temps on the rise!
  12. Back out from the garden, no wind here yet, clear skies with clouds slowly rolling in, hopefully it doesn't shoot the temp up by 5c
  13. Radar now showing snow in Norfolk I managed icy rain last night, when the temperature fell to around 4c Now down to 1.6c, time for a fag didn't go out last time!
  14. On a good note, all the rainfall coming down from the north sea onto the north Norfolk coast is immediately turning to sleet, or wet snow!
  15. Whats your temperature there out of interest? It's 1.7c here! with "something" forecast for 8am in my location!
  16. GFS shows 5mm of 'Something' for 8am here, when the temp is progged to be 1.5c GFS temp for 05:00 is 1.2c, when it's actually 1.7c here GFS dew point of 0.1c when it's actually -1c (ish) This is going to be so marginal Oh yes, it's also time for a fag and freeze to death
  17. I won't be abe to see the conditions at Benfleet tomorrow, as I'll be in Stratford, I am hoping for a bit of falling snow, where ever I am, Tomorrow is the Race of Champions in the former Olympic Stadium Oh and the current temp is 5.1c, DP 2c (ish). Need to get Cumulus running again to see the actual figure!
  18. I see the same issue with the warmer ocean temps earlier today on radar, as the cold uppers were pushing down and PPN with it, around edinburgh, it wasn't untill maybe 5 miles inland that the precipitation started turning to sleet. I think it depends on the DP, thickness (which should be fine) uppers I've not looked at, but they were low when I last checked, and actual air temp, that'll be marginal. From a straight northerly I could get something here, if it was a NE'ly I'd have literally no time to get the rain turning to slow, sleet, snow
