  1. I'm not sure of the year of this one but some time around 6 years ago the south east essex coast got snow on boxing day which is the only time in recent years I can remember snow around Christmas time Best and both worst at the same time are 2013 here - I think it was the night before Christmas Eve, Cyclone Dirk arrived and gave essex one hell of a wind storm, which at some point during the late evening directly aligned with my road facing north east, the howl of the wind is something I won't forget, gusting up to 75mph. But also very bad for local counties as when the low moved away, it dragged up one hell of a storm surge, creating flooding, loss of power, and then people nicking council provided generators which were given out so people could cook Christmas dinner
  2. Same here in Pitsea, a fine haze in the air, frost on the cars but none on the grass, I think it's down to the ground temperature being slightly too high for a frost, the bodywork on the cars and the tiled roofs absorb the cold temperatures much faster than anything else
  3. One of the best gifts I've received in a long time! A spark plug from the 2005 Minardi F1 car! Actually from the 2004 PS04B chassis but was used for the first 3 races of 2005 🙂

@Katrine Basso & @lassie23 Hope you both had great Christmases too! I had to come home in the end as I got way too tired, and it's impossible to sleep on the kitchen floor which is where I usually get allocated lol. Got 6hrs of sleep back at my dads and planning to go back to my aunts again today

  5. Has anyone ever ordered anything from Brazil before? How long should I expect to wait for delivery, I've ordered a painting which was posted on the 27th of November, and it's been sitting at Brazilian customs now since the 4th, with no further updates, also cannot get any info of which courier will be delivering it in the UK, and calling their office even after getting somebody who could just about speak english got me nowhere.

  6. Woke up freezing this morning because I forgot to set the boiler timer, flat got down to 14c, not sure how long I was sleeping in the cold for but it was a shock to wake up to, especially with only a summer duvet 🙄

  7. Worst: November, drab dreary and wet, although I do like the fog and crisp mornings Best: February, for chance of severe cold and snow
