Feel so much better for it! It's shocking how much physical & mental change that's occurred in such a short space of time, going through some of my old photo's compared to more recent ones are like night and day, I was adamant at the time I didn't have jaundice because I couldn't see it in my eyes, but looking at the comparisons, I can definitely see a difference in skin tone, so probably wasn't far off, which is quite scary, all the physical symptoms were there but there was some kind of mental block

Well done Essex Easterly, I was wondering how your detox was going.  I remember feeling exactly how you do when I went through my own residential detox stay.

Whenever you feel the urge for a drink, remember how you feel right now.  How much healthier you look and feel and how much better mentally you are now.  That's how I deal with the cravings and thinking 'one drink won't hurt'

It's been 4 years at the end of this month since my inpatient detox.  If I can do it, you can too.  I hope you are still getting good support now you are home as that can help with long term recovery too.  Message me if you ever need to talk to someone that understands.

Thanks snow raven! Well done on the 4 years that's amazing! I'm surrounded by support, from various whatsapp groups I've joined over the last few months (we also do zoom), staff here where I live, private counselling, online meetings with Essex ARC and also support groups with Futures in Mind, as well as family and friends, think I could struggle a bit when I get my own place in roughly 6 months time, but will get continued support from staff here with home visits, a bit nervous about it as I've never lived independently, but quite excited at the same time, it's the next step that's been a long time coming!

I was in residential for 10 days between 21st Sept & 1st Oct, all food was prepared for me and brought to my room 4 times a day, been home since the 1st and replicated their menu, been mostly eating baguettes with coleslaw, salad, ham, yoghurts, curries, weight gain shake, pasta, fruit,  got rid most of my old junk food lol. Not allowed BBQ's 😛 I go into community rehab Wednesday next week

Thankyou everyone! Still dreading it but now only 2 days to go, got things in place to keep me occupied between detox and rehab so I don't relapse like last time, also having counselling for the day before I go in, been allowed where I live in supported living to set up my station and have already prepared the site, also have one of my old college lectures helping me out with setting it up due to my memory not being as it should be, I have my EEG booked for 4 days after detox, and for anyone interested, the website is www.benfleet-weather.co.uk 🙂

There must be vents somewhere lol, maybe on the side? You can buy add on fans which extract the air that clip on the laptop bezel and are powered by USB

  10. Has anyone ever ordered anything from Brazil before? How long should I expect to wait for delivery, I've ordered a painting which was posted on the 27th of November, and it's been sitting at Brazilian customs now since the 4th, with no further updates, also cannot get any info of which courier will be delivering it in the UK, and calling their office even after getting somebody who could just about speak english got me nowhere.

@Katrine Basso I think the BBC have dumped uploading it separately it in favour of the week ahead forecasts, but it should still be in the countryfile programme upload, means scrolling through the footage to find it though which is a pain!

@Dami, I was looking at doing the same for my birthday last year, for general admission, I think it was about £80 just for the Sunday, but backed out of it due to how crowded it'd be and the amount of time queuing up or having to get there super early! This Williams event is quite good for me in the social aspect, capacity is just 200, and after calling the ticketing office they're nowhere near sold out, likely due to their recent performances lol

was going to go posh for a present for hubs was 1000's

    4. Essex Easterly

      Essex Easterly

If you don't mind sitting on a camping chair and on the side of a hilly bank then you can get tickets to spectate for around £80 as I said above ? Not sure if the prices have increased, likely as they love to put them up year on year

  17. Offer accepted! Out with dad on the Sunday to the estate agents to sign the contract for a new Bungalow, then it's off to move to Althorne! So I will remain as Essex Easterly. ?

Lol at least it's a tiny bit more ASL than Pitsea, 38m instead of 21 lol. Went back there today after seeing the estate agents and realised there's a load of trees on the walk path just behind the garden, not allowed to touch them, shouldn't bee too much bother as I'll be mounting the separate anemometer on the side of the roof, ISS at 2m and the camera can go on the side roof too, best of both worlds, accurate readings, plus a sheltered garden from the wind coming over the flat fields. I bet it will be absolutely freezing in an easterly! Will be able to get great cloudscapes, storm timelapses as well as images of the frozen fields in winter, also great for sunrises and sunsets! Hoping to upgrade to a PTZ IP camera so I can remotely pan&tilt it for the website when storms track across the horizon

      Why moan at Mum?

If wrong skip get on a deal with it. Not sure if some mum’s know of the different sorts. Why didn’t you help her bearing in mind you experience of such things?

    3. Essex Easterly

      Essex Easterly

@Surrey All together there were roughly 15 rocks, I managed to load all the small ones into the skip, and the larger ones I rolled back down the garden as features, were just impossible to get over the side of the skip, even with the neighbours help.@Snipper I did advise her what was needed at the time but I guess she forgot, I don't live with her and can only help out when I'm around, she's almost impossible to get hold of via the phone lol. All done now though, finally!
