  1. No heating on here yet, have the family huddling round a candle, after the first air frost we'll light it as a mini celebration
  2. Haven't fully caught up with the storm thread yet, but like most looking forward to tomorrows extreme weather, although slightly worried. Spent most of the day clearing the garden of anything that could become a projectile, but pretty concerned about the neighbours. No answer from the house with the trampoline in the garden, same with the guy who has a car parked next to the garage, have posted a note through the door suggesting it's in a vulnerable position. Neighbours with tree stumps and bricks on top of the garage don't feel the need to take any action, what else can you do
  3. Hi guys, looking to get rid of my Davis mounting kit. I've tried listing it on eBay over the past few weeks with no luck, and could do with the space, so if you'd like it totally free of charge (I'll pay the postage) just send me a private message. Comes with all accessories and original instructions May be compatible with other brands, specs as follows: When the two poles are joined together they make a single 0.95m (37.5") long pole. The outside diameter is 33mm (1.3"). Contents - 2 poles, one 0.50m (19.5") long and the other is 0.53m (21") long Thanks! PS Mods, I've had a chat with Paul and have approval for this post
  4. Thanks @Mapantz, I'll send them an email. I have found a vue sensor suite from weather spares for £125, but it's out of stock, and the model numbers don't seem to match up, so think I have a different revision. As you said, replacing the whole ISS is quite costly, cheapest I've found is over £200, which for that price I may as well sell the whole Vue as faulty and put the proceeds to a Pro2 or alternative brand. I'll see what ProData have to say though before I decide what the best route to take is, Thanks!
  5. Hi guys, after 8 years my Vantage Vue is giving me some issues, after working flawlessly since purchase, I'm no longer getting a reading for the outside temperature & humidity, I've replaced the battery in the ISS, and changed location of the console, without any change. Rain & wind readings are still reporting without issue. Does anyone know what part would need replacing? I can't seem to find the specific part online? TIA
  6. Much prefer this cooler weather too, as does my eth mining setup, last Wednesday after a day out I came home to a bedroom of 36.4c! It had only just decreased down to 33c by midnight, safe to say I spent that night sleeping in the lounge
  7. I must be the only one on the forum loving this cooler weather, I'd love for it to continue! I'm in a tiny south facing bedroom with a room packed full of PC's, usually the windows are wide open and the hallway door open too to let the air out. Currently 12.4c outside, 23.2c indoors, last Weds after being out all day with the door closed (windows open & PC's running) I came home to a room temp of 36.4c
  8. 29.8c was reached here according to the Davis, just after 2pm, cloud has arrived here too now and temps decreasing again down to 29.0c
  9. Probably best to just bring the laptop indoors now, I'm surprised it's still working!
  10. Looks like we're both in for a good spell of on/off streamer type moderate snowfall for the next few hours Paul!
  11. What station are you using? I'm between Benfleet & Hadleigh and it's 0.1c here, with similar temps shown from other local stations
  12. Could always grow cabbage and lettuce in plant pots inside and use that, as long as you're not planning on eating it after
  13. Was bad enough getting through that on PC, anyone on their phone may have ended up with RSI
  14. Oh boy This forecasts certainly one that's been randomly pulled from a hat lol UK weather: Brits to sizzle in 20C heat blast next week in first sign of summer - Daily Star WWW.DAILYSTAR.CO.UK The Met Office and BBC Weather have already forecasted "mild" weather to sweep Britain in March, and now it looks like 20C could be on the cards
  15. It's brilliant isn't it The rustling trees help me get to sleep, I'm so used to constant whistling/howling now I think I'll miss it once we get a calmer spell lol
  16. I don't think so, plumes usually go upwards/northwards, we rarely if ever have cold air masses to our south, which is why cold masses are usually defined as troughs
  17. Here's our low about to leave the US east coast, already down to 980mb, right in line with the GFS forecast
  18. Believe it or not north Texas and the western coasts actually get snow during most winters, and more frequently ice storms, lol
