  1. Scorching sun for me, in fact any day with temps above 25c. You can't really do much about being too warm, it's much easier to heat up than cool down for me anyway.
  2. Couple of flakes blowing around in the breeze here but not heavy enough for any accumulations at the moment.
  3. Surprised there's no yellow for wind in the central belt tonight. Seems to be quite isolated to just central Scotland with gusts quite frequently in the 45-55mph range. We've had a yellow warning for lower wind speeds already this year.
  4. I think most Atlantic storms form in a similar way really. Big temp difference fire's up the jet and makes any lp's more potent. Where they undergo strengthening and weakening really depends where the jet takes them although much like hurricanes they almost always start weakening quickly when they're over land.
  5. Wasn't too bad in the central belt at least compared to the last two storms. 40 - 50mph winds and a lot of rain but nothing severe.
  6. Good thing that one didn't take the same track as recent storms. 80-110mph would've brought widespread damage, it would've been one of the most severe storms to hit the UK in decades if it had been a few hundred miles south.
  7. Yellow wind warning for the central belt, seems a bit excessive looking at the forecast.
  8. 45-55mph for the most part here although it did get up to around 60mph at times between 2 - 3:30am. Not as strong or long lasting as Isha up here.
  9. Fence panel which I just repaired yesterday is now flapping again. Gusts into the low 50s at times but still mostly in the 40s.
  10. Definitely picking up a bit now with gusts to around 50mph. Almost identical timing to Isha in terms of when the stronger winds arrived.
  11. Gusting into the 40s quite frequently now but nothing particularly severe so far. 1am - 3am for peak gusts by the looks of it.
  12. It has been raining heavily for about 2 hrs now and it's supposed to continue for another 3-4 hrs before turning to heavy showers so I'd expect some flooding. Breezy too but it doesn't look like it'll be as strong as Isha.
  13. Seems to be a bit of uncertainty on this one still. Gfs has weakened it a bit and looks to have peak inland gusts no higher than 60mph but the ukv has 70mph gusts in parts of the central belt again around 1-2am on weds.
  14. It certainly looks the part but I'm guessing it's expected to weaken as it approaches us. Isha didn't really weaken much until it had already reached the UK.
