  1. The Browns play the Bills in Buffalo on Sunday hope they can keep the pitch clear!!
  2. Happy to see frosts appearing beyond that lets wait until late December for any real action
  3. I would rather that cold builds where it is and then it can flood western europe when its winter. I want cold late december jan and feb not early november or early december for that matter
  4. Good to see the doom and gloom has started early this year means we have a better chance of cold and snow latter!
  5. Infamous for the broadcast by our own Mr Fish who said that he had a call from a viewer to say a hurricane was on it's way. I remember it well having to help an elderly neighbor from their 1st floor flat at 5am after a tree went through her roof and the weeks of work organizing repairs after roofs has been lifted 3 or 4 inches damaging central boiler systems
  6. I'm worried for the simple reason that I don't think this government understands the problem let alone how to deal with its effects but also all we hear about is the cost and its impacts. How about this government admits the root cause (let's not just blame the war in Ukraine) but the lack of planning allowing the oil and gas producers to hold the world to ransom they could turn on the taps and produce more oil and gas in the short term but for us in the UK we are in trouble as this government decommissioned much of our storage capacity especially for gas. My fear is that many businesses will go bust because the public won't spend because there money is going to line the pockets of the oil and gas companies but equally they won't be able to afford the increased energy costs that aren't capped without passing on that cost which will make many goods unaffordable which stokes inflation ( expect 20% inflation by the end of 2023 if this government does nothing about business costs) and if it is a harsh winter expect civil unrest. The poll tax riots will seem like a party in the park!!!!
  7. Off course these elements I mention affect the atmosphere hence why I suggest that proper research is undertaken to determine there effect. The rhetoric is always the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere as that is the sole cause of our warming. Man has affected/changed our planet in many ways especially as urban living becomes more prevalent with massive sprawling conurbations with little overall greenery. Where is that analysis?
  8. I do not deny our climate has changed or is changing. However when we talk about sufficiently the impact man has not in regard to CO2 emissions but rather our changes to the environment we live in. We have significantly increased cities since pre industrial times and more so over the last 30/40 years. Many of these spaces are concrete jungles with little green or shaded space. We have turned once landscapes full of hedges and trees into rolling wide open spaces used for arable crop production. We are now seeing a shift especially towards greener cities. One example is a city in Pakistan that has made a concerted effort to introduce trees and green the city before it experienced temps of 50c now it see's temps of 40c. Off course the reason given is climate change and its link to Co2 rather than reducing temp by greening and providing less hard surfaces to absorb/reflect heat. Look at how many front gardens have been paved over in the UK in the last 40 years. Look at how we have reduced our rear gardens with paved patio's etc all these play a part in absorbing and reflecting/storing heat. I would like proper research into these effects and impacts these changes have made before i knee before the god of CO2
  9. Our only hope!!! The groundhog has predicted a further 6 weeks of winter in the USA perhaps they will send some our way!!!
