Ive been hoping and praying since tuesday, and today ive come so close bath i am a little to West in Essex and have had nothing, apart from a few CB AND CU. but its still very early and i think that we may have some massive storms this summer as we have already broke the books with 34c in june, the earliest highest temperature since 1977.
Ah. well its still frustrating, why does mother nature seem to think we are generous and giving them the storms, me and her will have to have a chat as i want them back lol! seriously though CAPE and other indicators look good for next week.
You know that, feel like a burnt zombie this week , its just to hot to function, but it may all pay of today, we must having been saving all the CAPE for today and its going to go
i think these cells may cluster together, as they are in close proximity of each other, lets wait and see what happens when they reach our sandy shores ! love to see what going on there right now, golf ball sized hail and F5 Tornado?
I do have to put out that, in my eyes, any storms today will be small, dis organised, and short-lived, but this allows new cells to form quickly as the old ones decay, shouldn't moan as its still something.
Morning @Dangerous55019
Sometimes the best storms develop when there is little CAPE, as conditions can favour this, although theoretically this shouldn't be the case. Next weeks rainfall totals are showing extremely high amounts on the forecast, and it also hints towards potential storms every day!
We could have had all the cape in the World, and still not had anything because of that Damn Cap, next week then ? fingers crossed? the Cape charts look a lot less , but as you sad no cap!
That would have been jaw dropping good, but its England and the weather either loves to surprise you or keep you waiting, like me since Tuesday and watching all of this CAPE go to waste up until this morning.
I really think we are going to have a very active day today, and Im wishing for a nice storm with a bit of thunder and that is enough to make me happy, but of course id love 10 super cells to develop, but ill try and not be to optimistic.
The radar is looking quite promising, the cells are beginning to link with precipitation and looks as if they will be some luck in the next hour or so for me in ESSEX.
I am quite disappointed at the scale of these cells, with all the Potential and CAPE, along with other factors, they seem to be very weak and look as if they could fall apart in the click of a finger. in the next few hours surface heating could develop some more intense rainfall and storms. Precipitation is now forming further south, so anyone from Bournemouth, NE toward Clacton and Norwich will have to wait for these storms to develop but i can see some development on the radar so fingers crosses !!!
Yes you are right, i am over in Harlow and we are not forecast anything, but at least there is something to look at on the radar, unlike the last few dissatisfying days. Anything could happen though and we may be lucky to see something JC.
The cloud is looking to slowly move off to the eastern coast, aplowing western, south - westerm and maybe central england to become hot and sunny by around 11am. The surface heating during the day may ignite some beastly looking Thuderstorms. I thinl the whole eastern UK is out of the equation completely as there it alot of cloud cover although, this hints towards instability, which was proven this morning by the small short lived cell that managed ignite.
It is more instable than past days by far, but is the cap finally going to break today. We will have to wait and see.
At the moment im in Harlow, essex, but at 12 off to basildon. Off to the east now there are many cumulus bubbling up, it looks as if they could develop into MCS as they are building along a line NE-SW, cant wait for some action!
