  1. Another windy day and more rain, not what is needed, had trees down this morning in the area, they managed to withstand the wind friday, but today it seems they've had enough and down they go
  2. Morning walk was dodge the fallen branches, thankfully nothing more serious than that around here. Phone service out, as mast went down, is now back on. Still breezy out this morning and a real nip to it. Hope everyone is ok and didnt suffer too much damage. Winds back up tomorrow by the looks of it.
  3. Max of 64mph gust so far, although fair to say not many stations around here that report, so hard to tell. Rain has now gone through, which was squally for awhile, wind seems to be getting going again though, so maybe more to come.
  4. My dad lives in Bude, I sent him a text yesterday to warn him, hopefully they're ok down there.
  5. Winds now definitely picking up, gusts in the high 40s, just done another dog walk, just in case I cant get out til late, the howling sounds around the trees arent nice when you're standing under them! So yep looks like it could get a bit nasty this afternoon.
  6. Laughing at the reports on GMB this morning, reporters in SW saying its not bad, people milling around near the sea walls, perfectly normal day. Has this been over egged? Hope so.
  7. Well got up early to get the dogs out, if it wasnt for the drizzle would have been a normal long walk, winds currently less than they have been for the last few days, but expecting it will get much worse as we go through the day, red warning, not seen one of those before, hope its a safe day for all. Edit, local schools are now closed for the day, although my son is off college for half term, as his college in next county, but he'll be p^%sed that this wasnt next week when hes back in lol
  8. Its still windy here this morning, trees down around the area last night. really not looking forward to tomorrow, still waiting on a red warning to be issued, dont think ive seen one of those for wind around here, but with the words sting jet being banded about, potentially as its comes into east anglia, could be a lot of damage. Fingers crossed its not as bad as being predicated, either way, I think its gonna be a good day to stay home if you can.
  9. I really hope we dont get winds nearly double what they are currently, 46mph gusts currently, on friday, that would be very dangerous. Hope the charts are wrong.
  10. Happy birthday @Atmogenic, Day started with a bit of sunshine, but its been slowly getting cloudier as the day wore on, colder too than yesterday, but thankfully still dry
  11. Lovely spring like day outside, temp at 12c and when you get out of the keen breeze, it feels quite warm, half way round dog walk had to take my jacket off. Flowers are springing up, buds appearing on trees. And to think this day last year, we had a good dumping of snow!!
  12. So far this morning, wind, rain, rain and wind, squally heavy hail, closely followed by more wind and rain. Hoping it clears through soon as dogs only got a 15 minute 'do your business and hurry up' walk and would quite like to go for a long run and more sniffy walk soon.
  13. Was expecting to get a good soaking on the morning dog walk, but thankfully rain a good way away, looks like its gonna be a wet day though, unfortunately making everything wet and muddy and yuk again, enjoyed the use of the fields this winter, unusual as they're normally under water for weeks on end, but it couldnt last.
  14. You tease! Least the drizzle has gone, was still on the coast when I was in Lowestoft late morning through, so must be slowly clearing off into the sea.
  15. Wet! Horrible! Crud! sums up what is was like More cloud this morning with a very light drizzle wafting around for a few minutes, thankfully didnt last. Feeling mild, rather have the cold, sunny days back please.
  16. Still stuck under gloomy drizzlefest, had about an hour around 10am when the sun tried hard to break through and the drizzle dispersed, but its back again, longing for the wind we've had the past couple of days, at least it cleared the skies quickly.
  17. Joy of joys, drizzle and lots of it, my absolute favourite wish Id stayed in bed for longer.
  18. The sun came out and with it some strong winds have arrived too, blowing a hoolie out there.
  19. We had rain overnight, not a huge amount and a rather grey cloudy morning so far, still with a nagging wind so feeling colder than the 7c temp. Hopefully the cloud breaks and sun makes it out at some point.
  20. Bit damp this morning after I assume was not too much rain last night, the wind already drying it away, managed not to take off to Oz on the dog walk this morning, but a few gusts made it hard to keep walking into it.
  21. As winnie the pooh would say, its a rather blustery day today. Tomorrow night/monday morning could well be even more blustery here in the east. For now the sun is out, the washing is drying on the line and its reached 14c.
