  1. This was the forecast for here as of this morning. Not too far from the truth, though we were only brushed by the really heavy stuff.
  2. Forecast was pretty bang on, except the light rain started a bit earlier. Hopefully it will clear in an hour or so, looking at the radar this is the last of the heavy on the rain band.
  3. I dug a new pond in my garden last month. It's to be fed from the overflow from my waterbutts, but I hadn't got around to hooking it up. Just the rainfall directly into the pond has been enough to keep it topped up since then.
  4. We just had the wettest 18 months on record, beating the previous record that was the 18 months to the end of February. England soaked by record rainfall in last 18 months, new Met Office figures show NEWS.SKY.COM England saw the highest level of rainfall over any 18-month period since Met Office data began back in 1836.
  5. The latest forecasts are for ENSO to go neutral some time between now and June, then transition to La Niña. March 2024 ENSO update: award season | NOAA Climate.gov WWW.CLIMATE.GOV There's a 62% chance La Niña will develop this summer. Our blogger has your ticket to the whole show!
  6. Was bucketing down here in Cheadle, has just cleared. Temp at the airport dropped from 8 to 3C, flippin' 'eck! It did look a bit sleety splattering on the window.
  7. Chucking down here just now, chased me inside from bricklaying a support for my new IBC waterbutt.
  8. All the showers are coming through here with hail in them. Fast-moving though, only last a minute or so.
  9. Haha, some of my colleagues are there and keep going on about it. Sadly their kids still have online school, there are no real snow days since COVID told us we can work and learn remotely!
  10. After 9mm of rain before 9, it's dried up nicely here, we even had some sunshine. So the dogs got a lunchtime walk, which looked out of the question based on the foreacast as it was yesterday.
  11. Snowing right down to sea level. https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=787501180077857&set=a.545406000954044
