  1. Wind has calmed down now that the rain has arrived, looking a bit more quieter on the radar as well
  2. Didnt think I'd be looking at thunderstorm watch in December... got my eyes on this lot if it does anything like the one in Wales. The wind has proper picked up now
  3. Thought Lincolnshire might've had an Amber warning with how constant the heavy rain is, shame its not middle of Winter as this would've been a memorable snow event
  4. Guess it just depends on how heavy the downpours are, probably nothing much apart from the odd isolated strike if that
  5. Looking on the radar seems we have the heaviest bursts above the main low, some very bright colours near Coningsby way in terms of rainfall rate
  6. Not had rain this heavy in quite a while, shame nothing thundery though
  7. Ofc storms like to kick off once they reach the North Sea
  8. Noticed near Peterborough is getting some, falls in well with the warning earlier, just a tad too far here for anything I think
  9. I suspect it'll mostly be heavy rain than storms now
  10. Got a weather warning for thunderstorms here now till 2am
  11. I wish I stayed awake a little longer as well, a few about in Lincoln but I'm certain there would've been more, just elevated
  12. I fell asleep around 3am as well smh lol, though dont think they were quite like the South judging by the radar
  13. Fell asleep last night to find there were lightning strikes not far from Lincoln on the radar, not sure if there would've been a few more that would've been elevated which didnt show on the radar, probs wouldnt have been much though
  14. Feels like this is a night for us, just heavy rain that seems to be on its way
  15. The storm between Peterborough and Cambridge has exploded a fair bit the past few minutes but most seem to be very scattered
  16. Dont even think the storms will reach as far as Lincoln atm
  17. I was told on here something to do with how flat the land is in Lincolnshire is which is what helps home grown storms
  18. Ah didnt realise it was that frequent, though radar has picked up again, I know though real time lightning can have a bit of a delay at times Just wish this was heading Lincolnshire way
  19. Curious to see how more storms might develop when the warnings are on till 6am, seems very scattered on real time lightning maps but ofc elevated mostly
  20. Guessing tonight its mostly all elevated rather than cloud to ground lightning
  21. Dont think were going to get a direct hit sadly, the storms seem to be moving too far North East unless more cells fire up
  22. If someones reporting lightning from a storm 100 miles away the cloud tops must be pretty high?
  23. This could be the start of those storms that were mentioned around 3am Might have to take a look from the window, impressive given thats 100 miles away
