  1. In terms of number of showers that have passed through during the day, it has appeared to be the wettest day for quite a while, but only recording 1.7mm of rain on stations around here. High of 13.7c
  2. Not rain so far today here, high of 15.5c. Tomorrow looks like a mixed bag - western parts of the region (closest to the low) will see the most frequent and heaviest showers, drier the further east you go, with the far east quite likely to stay dry.
  3. Looking at the NOAA height anomaly charts they are going for the high to move away to the west post day 10: If this sort of scenario verifies then the main question would be would this allow a more unsettled westerly setup to take over or will high-pressure be influential enough from the south to keep things settled?
  4. Things not looking as bad as they did a couple of days ago for the region tomorrow. The frontal rain coming in from the west fizzles out and only really affects the far west of the region on tonight's model runs. It's not until rain moves into the south during the late afternoon that we see more widespread rain; even then many parts will not see anything until the evening.
  5. Looks like the Met have dropped the above average temperatures theme that has been mentioned further up the thread in their latest update - now going for average to slightly below. http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/features/39756642?ns_mchannel=social&ns_campaign=bbc_weather&ns_source=twitter&ns_linkname=news_central
  6. Not sure if anyone is actually sure, not seen anyone come up with a definitive answer on Twitter etc. Sunny start here, then clouded over before brightening up again this afternoon, high of 17.5c
