  1. You're right there Joey, fantastic storm passed over us for about an hour, plenty of Lightning and cloud rotation too, passed NE though, not sure if you are inline or not. It really built out of nothing and intensified, I got very excited about the cloud rotation but it moved off on its merry way taking the rotation with it into the distance. Some pics:
  2. Ahem, I believe it has now been 5 years between Blog entries, Daniel is almost 6 and Jacob, oh yes, we had another boy, is 3 and a half. I am not sure if 5 years is a record between posts but I gather most of my followers have either passed on to pastures new, have passed into the blue yonder or have dropped me as a friends for being the most un-active and boring NW member. We had a storm today..... That's all I have to add. Thanks for listening, see you in 5.
  3. Wonderful storm passing over at the moment, it built from very little, there was also some cloud rotation right over us which got me a little excited, but it turned to nothing in the end!
  4. Yep, I did (since I have been recording for the past few years). Overnight low was -8.5C last night Stephen, the previous night was -7.2C which was my record and breaking it the very next evening was quite an achievement!
  5. Merry Christmas everyone. Well an official White Christmas here. Just had a 20 minute snow shower and am expecting more this evening.
  6. Spent the night out with Mrs Dazza last night at her Christmas party in Antrim (Dunsilly Hotel), woke up to 4 - 5 inches snow, fantastic. Drove home to Stewartstown this morning and we only had about and inch, how disappointing! Must also add, it has been a long time since I have seen a snow plough on the NI roads, but I managed to see 3, yes 3, on the stretch of the M2 from Antrim to Randalstown this morning (and for those whho don't know the road it is a strach of about 4 - 5 miles).
  7. Errr... Current stats for me over ere in Stewartstown: Temp: 0.5°C Dewpoint: 0.0°C Wind speed: 0 mph (N/NW) Windchill 0.5°C Pressure: 1024.5 hPa (and steady) Precip: Snow showers (some settling)
  8. Any chance you are in Pomeroy Pomeroysnow? I would say that as there is a lot of activity on the board tonight some personal information may come across as limited to reduce resources.
  9. A great series which goes down well in the Dazza household (well I enjoy it), I have a lot of respect for Josh but love it when you see Sean's frustration when Josh sends him the wrong way, and that Reed, well he gets it spot on time and time again. Love it, roll on S3.

    Blimey, A Year Already

I know Katie, a year already, time has really flown. I am rapidly learning that simple things please little minds. How educational a piece of cardboard can be stuns me!

Cheers mate, try not to be. Hoping to spend a but more time on here now that Daniel is a bit more settled.
  13. Well I have just read my last blog entry and realised that I never actually gove everyone the wonderful news via my blog *slaps forehead*! Well I can of course confirm that Daniel was born a year to the day. He had his Birthday Party on Saturday and it was a quietish affair attended by family and friends. I have quickly come to the conclusion that buying toddlers expensive presents with a fine array of sparkly colours and fantastically lifelike noises is pointless. I have never seen a child get some much exitement from a plastic net bag that originally contained a vast variation of Mega Blocks. Then there was the Cardboard box and plastic tray that contained his magnetic building blocks...... I have therefore decided that I shall not be recycling until after Christmas, all toilet roll inserts, empty chicken storage trays and general packaging will be wrapped up for Daniel's second Christmas. This should save us about £500. Well he seemed to really enjoy his party, so much going on, so many pressies and so much food. We got some great video footage of his twin cousins opening all his presents as he didn't seem to get past the first, and there was a lack of patience amongst the remaining children. We did establish that he is very generous and let everyone else play with his toys (not that he had a choice, kids will be kids) whilst he played 'Peek a Boo' with the remainder of guests from under the Dining table. So all in all a fantastic day and a stressfull, worrying and scary but fantastic first year. Please revisit in a year for my next blog entry!
  14. I don't know, I'm off here for circa 6 months and all hell breaks loose! In all honesty, good luck to you all, having been on here for a number of years and witnessed the comings and goings, highs and lows, you all have your work cut out. I am sure you'll all continue to keep things ship shape.
  15. Just had our first eveniing shower and one that has started to settle now that the sun is setting:
  16. Very heavy shower here at the moment, showers throughout the day so far have been infrequent. The sun is blistering in between so with the mix nothing has settled as yet. Still, it remains early! Mrs Dazza is away in Spain at a conference at the mo and will be flying back into Dublin tomorrow evening. I would be greatful if anyone could give me the heads up from the airport North during tomorrow afternoon so I can let her know how things are (she is driving back up). Cheers.
  17. ...and in the Sky report some witnesses said they could almost touch them, looks like they would have burn't their fingers if they had
  18. I remember Jack fondly, as John says, some great phrases for the weather, he was always entertaining. He will be missed but not forgotten.

    Time Has Come!

It seems like less than a week since I gave you all the false alarm scare with the possible delivery of Baby Dazza. Well at 2.30am this morning Mrs Dazza's waters broke so we headed off to the hospital. Mrs Dazza is now on a ward and I got shipped home at 6am. After having no sleep I am on my way back to the hospital with a list of gatherings which Mrs Dazza has sent to me via text (this is over and above the Hospital bag she already has). At time of writing Mrs Dazza has not as yet gone into labour, however, as the waters seemed to splash their way all round the Bed, the Carpet, the Bathroom, the Hallway, the Kitchen, My Car and probably a few peoples shoes, Baby Dazza will now have to be delivered. I am therefore hoping that my next Blog entry will be of joyous news. Hold tight, there is a long rough ride ahead, but i'll be back...

    Is It Time?

Thank you for your comments, unfortunately it was a false alarm . Mrs Dazza had been having pains since Saturday, but the hospital done their checks and sent us home under watch. By 11pm last night the pains had gone, so I am back at work today and Mrs Dazza is at home with her feet up. Baby Dazza isn't due until the 24th October but we have been advised that if born now all should be ok. Back to the waiting game then...

    Is It Time?

Well Mrs Dazza has gone into hyper mode this morning, cleaning windows, washing up, mopping, doing things she's been putting off for months. Is it all symptoms of nesting! Mrs Dazza was sent to the Hospital during the week by our Obstetrician to have some steriod injections. We were told during our Antenatal appointments that you will normally be given Steroid injections if it was thought you may go into premature labour , you can imaging what was going through our mind at the time. Now Mrs Dazza is nesting, hmm . In fact since I started typing this blog entry some evidence has come to the fore that the motions could actually be starting (according to Mrs Dazza's call to the Hospital). I am now in major panic mode Well, I suppose all I can say is.... watch this space... Errr, must go, bye for now...

  24. Dear NW - It has been 3 months since my last [s]confession[/s] Blog entry! I feel I have let all of my Blog followers down, A scan photo had been requested and several occassions and I made promises that I did not meet, and for this I apologise. Mrs Dazza is getting bigger by the day and a couple of nights ago I received my first kick. Mrs Dazza had been dissapointed that I hadn't felt any of the kicks she had been experiencing and I think it was getting her down to be honest. I therefore decided to stick around above her naval for a bit and tried talking to baby Dazza. I put my head onto to Mrs Dazza's tummy and I got a kick in the forehead, and I mean a big kick. It didn't stop there. No sooner did I receive a kick in the head, but I I then got one straight in the chin before I had a chance to move! Little blighter, I think Baby Dazza was telling me off for not being on kick awareness duty 24/7. I have learnt my lesson and we now chat frequently. Everyone around us (and I mean everyone) insists Baby Dazza is going to be a boy, I am the only one to dispute that. I like to be different and to challenge others views (well the views of the Mother-in-law), so I am insisting it's going to be a girl. Then again, going by the kicking maybe I will be proven wrong! We have been given the 24th October as a due date. This doesn't fit in with our dates. Mrs Dazza had planned our nights of passion with military precision and timing (we're getting old, so we need to plan to make sure we have a stress free and relaxing day to help store up our energy for the evening). According to the date we have been given it would mean that Mrs Dazza conceived 2 weeks after the event, although we knew Mrs Dazza was pregnant at that time. This can mean there are only 5 possibilities: 1. Our Consultant has been drinking heavily. 2. We have lost 2 weeks of our lives. 3. It was a very long session of romance. 4. I have the most powerful and long living sperm in the history of man and am due to be contacted by the Guiness Book of Records forthwith. 5. There may be other possibilities. Anyway, enough from me, here's over to a portrait of Baby Dazza taken 2 weeks ago: [attachment=65792:23_06_08.jpg] I hope you can make something out?
  25. It's been absolutely hammering it down for the last hour and 20mins, my Weather Station has recorded rainfall of 20.7mm during that period. Not seen anything like it for a long, long time, the main road is flooded and the rain is making a nice swimming pool in the gravel at the front of the house, nice! Currently 11.7 Degrees, Overcast and Raining (Heavy) with no signs of subsiding as I write. Edited: for poor spelling and corrected before OON got to it.
