The road camera a mile down the road still reckons -1c here.

Wonder what the band coming in from the west will bring us
-
Lovely sunshine in crook.
couldn’t write it
-
What are we expected to get tomorrow? Doesnt look anything on the WRF radar/model
-
We really need a N/E'ly or easterly flow to get any snow into our region. Rare we get it from the NW. Needs to be just the right angle.
-
Looks like a inland shower building above consett.
-
Itll get to the beach and stop lol

Looking better for showers coming in from the sea. Wonder how far the will reach
-
Suns out and the frost has gone here!
-
About how far inland the current snow showers have been making it.
-
Look at that gap opening up at spennymoor as it heads towards bishop/crook. Typical! Rather it would have missed altogether than do that!
-
Fingers crossed for you. Would be brutal for the wind to blow it upwards and around.

Traffic cams around durham have plenty good snow on them- 1

Bishop might actually be in the prime spot for once.
Another half hour or so could see some flakes under some poor LED streetlights -
First purple splodge just appeared at 22:45 on the radar at hartlepool

You can almost guarantee those showers will fizzle out before they touch land, or about 2miles in.
-
Whatever air the showers are circulating on isnt dropping south.
-
True Phil - They MAY start to rotate inwards soon.
-
I reckon that group of showers off the coast at sunderland will make their way in
-
Looks like the rotation would need to drop a hundred miles south and rotate anticlockwise in order to get any sort of showers into the region.
Everywhere looks pretty bland looking at the radar, only a few showers heading into wales and devon and the obvious showers in the highlands. -
Anything potentially coming up or just dry, frosty and cold?

Is that another front developing North of Scotland?
Looks a bit more meaty

Well it has been pants up to now for my neck of the woods.
Woke up to a few flakes on frozen ground this morning, seen plenty of rain and sleet since and in truth it feels kind of warmish out, certainly not as cold as expected.
Maybe the next seven days brings the rewards but it seems like it is going to be cold rain and sleet to look forward to in any precipitation.
Yeah, dismal. Seen worse frosts.
We ideally need a NE'ly wind direction for this region. Nothing else seems to work.

Apparently I should have pretty heavy snow according to the radar. Nothing.
Wouldnt even give it a 1/10 cold/snow spell.
