  1. Arrived at work in Shelton. Not even the slightest hint of wintriness in the air. Biggest weather let down I've seen since moving to Stoke. Why did I tell people it would definitely snow? Appalling performance from the models.
  2. Fozfoster There was a day a few winters ago where it rained heavy all morning, turned to snow just before lunchtime, and was a few inches deep by the end of the day. Caught Stoke by surprise. Met Office didn’t put out a warning until the snow was on the ground.
  3. Has just turned wintry enough to put down some slushy deposits on cars. Can I count this is a day of snowfall? Not sure
  4. Alternating between very wet snow and sleet. Can’t even get some nice snow to just watch falling. Just horrible wet, icy rubbish. May as well be pouring with rain.
  5. Vile weather. Very wet outside. Going to be soaked through travelling to work and then have people who’ve driven in, in their heated cars telling me that ‘at least it’s not snowing’. A holes.
  6. The fact heavy precipitation is only producing sleet doesn’t bode well for the rest of the day. Time to write this one off for here. Might see falling wet snow at times but that’s it. Just wish I hadn’t told people. Completely fooled by the computer models.
  7. Sleeting. Arome shows that I couldn’t be closer to a winter wonderland whilst missing out. A real kick in the teeth.
  8. I’ve managed to find one model that has actually increased the snow risk here at the last minute. Always trust the Swiss
  9. markw2680 I wouldn’t mind too much as at least I’ve seen snow this winter but I’m dreading the embarrassment after telling a lot of people that significant snow is coming I don’t think I’ve got a snow prediction for Stoke wrong before.
  10. LeeKay/ Can’t though really ignore that all the computer models have unanimously changed the detail at the last minute.
  11. WalsallWeather Models have all reduced the snow risk at the last minute and show the milder air pushing north much more quickly. Stupid UK weather.
  12. ICON reduces the snow risk further. Snow chances look to have gone here extremely rapidly.
  13. Automated forecast continues to decrease the snow risk to just sleety rubbish. Wonderful stuff.
  14. marksp I’m at 146m. Probably be wet on my street and 5cm of snow on my roof.
  15. Dancerwithwings I’ve not got a Snow-on-Trent prediction wrong before, in 7 years
  16. Dancerwithwings I told lots of people that Stoke would see significant snow. Going to look like an idiot!
  17. Metwatch Shows a few cm of snow over my home but nothing at my work. Annoying if that happens.
