    Reminds me of my younger days living in Hattersley. We would have a good covering of snow yet 3 miles down the road in Hyde would be a slushy mess.

    I'm not much of a commenter on here, but it looks to me that even though the ecm takes a look at trying to throw a spanner in the works, we still end up blocked and cold. Surely this has to be a positive?

    I love a walk on the low. Last week we walked from the quarry car park down through godley stud farm and up to hattersley and then back round to the low via mottram road. Climbing up the low from the dirt track on Apple lane was a killer. Edit. Sorry I quoted the wrong post. Was meant to quote robbo88

    I grew up on Hattersley and my gran still lives up there. All ways does much better than Denton for snow even though it's only 4 miles away.

    Met office has been bang on with regards to my location so far. Hopefully they continue to be right as they have me down for showers making it across all day tomorrow.

    If I remember correctly, showers coming from slightly south of east rarely make it to my location but showers slightly north of east usually do. Maybe somebody could correct me?

    Watching the Radar and seeing this front pivot over South Wales and parts of the south west is amazing, just shows you how in the right setup you can get hours upon hours of continuous snowfall. Can anybody remember an event which pivoted over us like that?
