Slight dusting this morning in Bingley - not going sledging just yet.

Mod Thread – you must laugh three or four times each winter they spot the new ice age and it turns out to be a bit chilly for a couple of day. The wrist slashing and bad mouthing is a great read. If the snow Navara it is more than 5 days away forget it……..

What’s peoples preference for rainfall radar sites to watch over the coming days?

If it’s snowing but does not settle I call it sleet - is this correct?

Thought there would be a little more interest in the coming cold snap, not epic stuff but a start all the same.

Many people believe there is more chance of snow at Easter than at Christmas. Certainly, snow at this time of year is not uncommon. Below are statistics from the Met Office:
Month Average Days of Snow
November 1.7
December 3.9
January 7.6
February 6.8
March 4.2
April 2.3

Just been looking at the models and forecasts for the next few day - anyone else thinking this is serious stuff and it will go down as one of the great snow / cold events.

Yep the heavy snow coming down just now has melted on impact and melted the tiny covering we did have! You could not make it up! The one thing I was not worried about today was marginality!
You have to laugh or otherwise you would cry! I feel like sausage right now!!
You need a sausage butty lad. That will cheer you up?

If Sausage is out there - please may I join your club mate?
