  1. Yet again today a failure on temperature predictions, 15c forecast but just 11c in a raw wind, this week really has been garbage worst possible weather! the suns finally coming out now at times and it would feel alright..if it wasn't for the roaring gale, I swear im not paranoid when I say the sun only comes out in Telford after 4pm, when it's below 12 degrees and hurricane Shropshire is howling through.
  2. Cloud broken up finally now to give a rather lovely evening, to little to late though as always, the suns only on the garden till around 5 even in the summer.
  3. Yup BBC said 19c yesterday and 16c today when in reality scraped 15c yesterday and just 11.7c today.
  4. Dull, murky and drizzly thus far today, a real damp and grotty morning which is surprising as I was under the impression it was brightening up from the west today, tommorow certainly looks a major improvement at least?
  5. The usual 100% cloudcover murkfest today here zzzzz, not one gap in the cloud all day, maxed at 15c but felt much cooler.
  6. I've been in cloudy Manchester and arrived back to slate grey skies in Telford to haha the cloud clearly just loves to chase me.
  7. What a surprise, so typical of this Spring for this week to downgrade to absolutely atrocious conditions, slate grey skies followed by an arctic blast, just typical! and today was only 16c here and currently 100% cloudcover...
  8. I just want a nice sunny day, GFS backtracking now towards ECM/UKMO which is a cloudfest for next week, high pressure stuck west with NW winds always = slate grey skies here even when the rest of the Midlands is sunny, hopefully it ends up further east than currently progged..
  9. Looks like we've dodged the bullet tommorow here now, though i'm off up north anyway so i'll get my usual Telford style washout there
  10. Cloud, cloud, cloud today and 12c at the mo, GFS looks promising after Monday but ECM and UKMO saying no, hmm.
  11. Dry and nothingness in Telford but quite the beast of a cell to the south and south west which gave a flash of lightning and rumble of thunder not to long ago.
  12. Distant rumble of thunder and flash of lightning to the south west of here, looks like a beast of cell, nothing as usual over us though
  13. http://www.shropshirestar.com/pictures/weather-pictures/2013/05/15/flash-flooding-after-rain-lashes-county/snow-on-may-15th-001/ Looks like they had a bit of snow up in Newcastle-on-Clun last night, brightening up at last here now but still chilly.
  14. Ended up with the rain stalling further west of here in the end, still a grotty start to the day though as the tail end is sweeping back into us now and a chilly 4.6c
  15. After light rain all evening it's really pepped up recently here, feeling rather chilly to at 5.9c!
  16. Bog standard skies for Telford yet we never get the thunder to go with them  Looks like the heaviest part of this storm may hit us afterall tonight now, signs of improvement into early next week after this weekends storm thankgoodness! In the meantime Thursday's looking pretty good convective wise.
  17. I always think with awful setups like this id rather get hit by the most intense part of the storm and get some interesting stats in.
  18. Some very high rainfall totals likely through our region over the next 24 hours, looks like the worst of it will stay just south east of here with the Birmingham area really getting the most intense downpours.
  19. I suspect tommorow's storm will end up weaker than forecast and further south in the end, only scraped 10c today, this spell of weather is SO depressing, the pleasantness of last Monday & Tuesday feels like forever ago now, still hoping that low at the weekend ends up weak and further east, can't be dealing with ANOTHER washout Sunday...
  20. Truly dreadful weather this weekend here, not sure what it is about Sunday's but it's always grey or raining, always!, even last Sunday was grey till 4pm. Next weekend looks a big improvement if that low doesn't go ape on us like ECM shows  of course though this time last week the charts were showing 20c for today so taking it with a grain of salt for now.
  21. In comparison to yesterday there's been some really heavy downpours today, mostly between 3-4:15pm ish when it really hammered it down at times, reached 13.6c but felt considerable cooler than that with little in the way of sunshine.
  22. Barely any decent rain here today, just cold, grim and windy with a max of just 11.0c, hoping we can get some decent downpours over the duration of this spell as this type of weather is just insufferable when its cloudy, windy, cold and just giving the odd spot of rain.
  23. Reached 21.7c Tuesday which was glorious...to look at  being stuck in all day on days like Tuesday is depressing, yesterday generally cloudy with a few sunny spells, maxed at 16.1c, today already showery, looks like some much needed rain on the way.
  24. Gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous day here today! light winds, long spells of sunshine (pretty much unbroken since 11am) and a max of 20.4c making it the warmest day of the year
  25. Absolutely golden day here, the best of the year so far, unbroken sunshine and barely a cloud in sight, max was 16.4c but felt much warmer than that, perfect!
