Actually had a pretty nice morning here, plenty of sunshine and light winds! unfortunately cloudzilla has rapidly popped up over the last half hour.

Such a shame May Bank Hol weekend looks a write off now to, can guarantee the GFS will be right with high pressure/warmth arriving on the Tuesday!

Today would be ok if it wasn't so bleeding cold, 10.1c max with sunny spells is just poor! weekend curse reigns on...another arctic blast arriving surprise surprise Saturday.

So glad I booked today off, nice weather is illegal on weekend's here so today was fantastic finally getting a chance to lie in the garden and enjoy long, warm spells of sun. Turned cloudy after 4pm but just about dodged the downpours here.

Eh was hoping for a sunny Sunday finally but to much mid level muck and a chill to consider facing the garden today haha! A definite writeoff this month now for even squeezing in one nice day looking at the charts, see you in May.

Oh to have seasons again, this bland 8-13c showers/bands of rain setup seems to go on and on and on and on...

Shocking weekend after the initial forecast, washout yesterday morning, sun didn't break through till after 4 and then grey grey grey today.

Foggy start then mostly cloudy, odd 5 second glimmer of sunshine but that's it, 9.2c

Sods law 6pm and now its clear haha!

Cloudy and damp, 9.1c, only just brightening up from the SE 6 hours later than forecast!

Still grotty and grey here UPDATE: STILL GREY, will turn clear dead on 5pm when suns to low what a surprise.

Yup as predicted front a whole 100 miles east of what BBC were showing, lashing it down here, standard post 2013 Saturday.

18z still has rain at 12pm here so looking doubtful this far NW, fingers crossed though!

Yup i KNEW it, here it comes stupid last minute downgrade as usual, won't brighten up till around 3pm now now then gray all day Sunday which looked decent before, new year same old grotty weekends. Next weekend already gearing up for washout arctic low

Was a few slushy deposits around when I woke up at 8am so must of turned back to rain pretty quick here, 7.8c now and brightening up.

Here's hoping this isn't going to be another year of the weekend curse, both days look absolutely grotty.

First glorious worthwhile weather day of the year, clear and sunny just come in as suns to low after 2pm still for garden this time of year. Here's hoping next weekend is sunny both days.

Been observing but not posting recently (the cold spell fail in January was the last straw) and have to say it's hilarious how EVERY single event this winter gets crushed into mediocrity, some on the same day!!! e.g that Saturday a few weeks ago that was looking like a snow event here then slid into the SE instead while we hovered in 3c drizzle!!. Wednesdays event flipped back and forth and now shock horror looks like blasting through with no stall/wintryness here as usual, you can't make it up I mean wow not once does anything ever upgrade in the final 48hrs ! Here's hoping we get a Spring and Summer as there's not been any 'weather' months since July 2014 now here!

To boot the potential for anything Monday/Tuesday is fast vanishing, looks like another week of sunless grot now before the mild muck returns Thursday/Friday. See y'all in Spring

Shock horror another shift east, load of rubbish, rain rain rain everything as usual to far east..

Torrential sleet here just turned to wet snow now but dying off.

Could do a few westerly shifts for Sunday here, upper's of -2 here hmmm!! In the meantime about to get hit by the heavy yellow blob and it's turning back to snow
