  1. What is it about Bank Holiday weekends and rubbish bloody grot then always followed by nice weather as soon as its over, looks like usual sunless weekend with washout Sunday/Monday, this month was going well until a week ago, been cool cloudy dirge since then (sods law today was actually nice then bam slate grey skies rolled in to coincide with home time).
  2. Stratocumulus have to be the most irritating weather type ever, if it's high pressure be sunny please, horrid stuff.
  3. Not gonna be as lucky today, swamps of cloud piling in already Cheshire Gap effect.
  4. Surprisingly glorious day today, barely a cloud in sight all day and felt a lot warmer than 13c.
  5. Today wasn't as grotty as expected, reasonably bright with some spells of sun in the end high of 17c, unfortunately the muck properly arrived as I got home from work. Fingers crossed cloud stays east of us this weekend, if it manages to might be decent-ish in the sun, next weekend a shocker, ^ 30th May is absolutely miles away yet but yeah Bank Hol = 2 atlantic low's minimum.
  6. Absolutely fantastic day, high of 22.7c and barely a cloud in sight all day, luckily finished work slightly early so was in the garden by 4 Of course weekend's arriving so stratocumulus mania along with it though hopefully the worst of the cloud can stay east of here!
  7. Grotty miserable day again, no daylight or sunshine with rain on and off again.
  8. Absolute washout yesterday, wettest day I can remember for sometime. Looks like gradually improving this afternoon/tomorrow then back to the typical weekend pattern with 3 days of grot from the north/north east.
  9. Surprising day in the end, was dull grey and quite cool on break in work this morning and I thought id be coming home to washout showers. Instead mostly clear skies came in from the east at 4pm only gradually hazing over through the eve (grey again now) and shot up to 23.5c.
  10. Sunday curse finally broken, 24.2c high and decent spells of sunshine until around 4pm (then it turned grey for 3 hours with the odd spot of rain and threatening skies but nothing ever materialized in the end).
  11. Managed to get a decent storm explode over us out of nowhere in the end, good few flashes of lightning, was in the gym at the time though so couldn't really hear thunder.
  12. Fingers crossed although with next weekend being back to screaming northerlies was really hoping both days ended up decent here, hopefully catch these storms later to make up for it.
  13. Waste of warm air, weekend curse at it again, cloud cloud cloud all the day with only a few brief spells of very hazy sun, hope tomorrow is better and the showers don't turn up.
  14. Oh joys of working indoors in a factory with no windows gorgeous evening after finally got hope though...praying for westerly corrections for this weekend aka the GEM, beyond overdue a nice weekend here, not had one with both days 20c+ and sunshine since July 2014 now.
  15. A typical Wednesday, glorious blue skies and sunshine barely a cloud in the sky! now if only that could happen the weekend..big upgrades on the washouts of yesterday but still look like the most likely place to see downpours/storms..which believe it or not i'd rather avoid, much rather have a weekend in the garden.
  16. Called it! back to blue skies Monday to topping it off I bet
  17. Can't believe the weekends gonna be lost to cloud and washout showers after blue skies Wed - Friday
  18. Cloudzilla's wrath and showers on the way, was hoping the showers would just be for morning/early aft but looking at satellite not going to happen. Edit: And it begins, heavy hail and 5.8c.
  19. Of course a big fat high pressure's going to arrive at work Tuesday - Friday and change to washout lows in time for the weekend, mark my words. Always happens, never get a high arrive for a weekend these days had to suffer sitting in 10c last Saturday to get some sun! In fact can see it now, 20c next Friday then washout Saturday!
  20. Sods law another rubbish bank holiday weekend, heavy showers Saturday then grey and drizzly Sunday/Monday OF course immediately improving after, can't make it up.
  21. Literally had a mix of hail/snow for over an hour earlier, showers died out this afternoon and sunny now but crazy cold for late April, max of 7.0c!!
  22. What a surprise high pressure starts building next Tuesday the day after Bank Hol as usual, jeeze is this year really gonna do it again!
  23. Back to dross here today, 6.8c and slate grey skies
  24. Cloudzilla ended up melting away after 3 again, looks like Shropshire got lucky on the satellite in the clear gap, surprisingly pleasant day in the end, 11.3c max but felt warmer.
  25. What a surprise yet another Bank Holiday weekend of 9c dross on the cards, I can't with this climate lately, is it not bad enough we had to suffer bland 8-12c temps allllllll winter, all Spring and now into MAY.
