No matter what, any excitement is always ruined in the end, looks like a mild Christmas and no cold spell now what a surprise!

Light sleet/wet snow here in Telford though expecting it to turn to rain any minute, missed out last night and the weekend here so hopefully a proper event comes soon!

Still a chance a lot of us could get snow tomorrow night, though it might end up like a repeat of Sunday here yet and end up too far east.

Wow, in the end it decided to miss Shropshire completely, game over here then.

Missed all the excitement yesterday and today the same, forgot how everything always tracks east of here.

I moved to Madrid in 2016 and it really has an ideal climate in the early autumn, day after day of gorgeous sunshine and days between 20-30c with low humidity, pretty much every year I've been there has had a late October heatwave, especially in 2017 when it was exceeding 28c close to Halloween plus the extra day length of the sun setting 2 hours or so later in winter than here in Shropshire makes a big difference but November - February is still pretty grim, cold (often below freezing at night) foggy and often wet which can be dissapointing seeing the fohn effect frequently boosting Valencia/Alicante etc up to 25c on occasion whilst Madrid sits in 6c muck.

I must say i´m quite surprised considering the extremely hot uppers for tomorrow and Friday that highs only look in the low to maybe mid 20´s? considering the sunshine forecast and uppers of above 20 850pHa for much of England and Wales Friday i´m not sure how widespread 30c or higher is on the cards???

Outside of July - September it has been a very British year in Madrid, well above average rainfall, often damp/grey/chilly. Spring was characterised by frequent cool spells and downpours and this November has been incredibly grey and wet, currently 4c and damp/foggy with two more weather systems approaching later and for tomorrow, hopefully it picks up from next week.

Hey guys! Been back here a few days from sunny Madrid, it was a 42c over there at the weekend so coming back to sunny skies and 27c was definitely more manageable .

A truly disgusting March here in Madrid and looks the same the rest of the month. Wetter than any January I can remember in the UK and almost no sunshine for two weeks just storm after storm, consistenly below average and windy too with another washout weekend on the way followed by biting North Easterlies next week.

Maybe some snow showers later here when the winds turn more WNW? can see them in the distance to the west. If not, back to Madrid on Sunday although living in Spain I have been surprised just by how consistently cold those nights are in the winter, most morning in December started off around -3/-4c though very dry air so almost never a frost.

Nothing here although The Wrekin nearby has a covering. Pity as was hoping to see something wintry before I head back to Madrid, but just light sleety rain in the end.

Hey all! long time no see My first time in the UK in a long, long time and looking at the 06z GFS we might get something this evening here, other charts further south however. Living in Madrid seeing snow is pretty rare although last time I came to the UK in March it was snowing there

I'm super jealous to be living in Madrid right now for once haha! parents said the weekend delivered best snow in many years and just sent me this picture right now heavy snow again.

A very decent September/October so far here in Madrid! had a few cooler days around mid September but generally it's been blue skies and well above average temperature's for some time now!

Hope you all are well, visiting from Madrid and left airport this morning in heavy snow!!! Crazy that it's warmer/sunnier here than there this weekend! though did have a 2 week Spring heatwave!

Overnight low of 19c last night very muggy indeed, decent spells of sunshine this morning then grey from 11:30 onwards, max of 23c.

Well after what seems like years of trying i'm finally leaving sunny Shropshire and starting a new job overseas near Madrid later this month Going from 1300 hours of sun a year to 2800 will be quite the pleasant shock!

Makes a change August being the best of the summer months here, plenty of warm sunny weekdays unfortunately the weekends all year have been poor bar one. 23c and good sunny spells today.
