  1. Hi all! Yestarday morning it was pretty wild around southern Croatian city of Dubrovnik. 5 waterspouts occured in the same time next to this beautiful city. Luckily, waterespouts stayed on the sea, and no damages or injured people were reported. Here are 2 photos: here is the full reportage: http://www.crometeo.net/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=4241 THE VIDEO
  2. On this link you will find TOTNADO F1 video reportage from Podravska Slatina (Croatia) on 20.08.2007. The reporage is made of meteo charts, lot of photos and 2 direct videos of tornadoes: TORNADO REPORTAGE
  3. Estofex warning for big possibility of stormy weather in Craotia during friday evening and night to saturday happened to be accurate! Most of the day it stayed sunny in most of Croatia. It was hot with temperature from 28 to 35°C. In Adriatic region moderate winds were blowing, mostly from SE and SW. The first sign of unstable atmosphere was noticeble development of clouds in the late afternoon in neighbouring Bosnia and Hercegovina. It was kind of splitting storm, here is the radar: Crometeo member Coja made a nice reportage of these clouds. The highes of them reached 15km in the air!! The whole reportage: Bosnia Storm In the evening, around 21h, one nasty Cb developed very rapidly over sea of Northern Adriatics (Kvarner, the channel between islands Rab and Cres). Rab was the first to be under there magnificant cloud. Radar from Bilogora grabed the reflection of it although in was on the very edge of it's range. Cca 70dBZ! animation: Zoom: The cloud was moving very fastly because of the very fast upper SW winds. When it crossed the sea the cloud hitted the coast (the area of mountain Velebit), city Senj got the huge hail storm: In some places of island Rab and city Senj on the coast the hail stones were of a size of a peach. A lot of damage was done, destroyed and damaged cars, windows, trees, roofs... The stormy cloud continued it's path towards the continental part of the country. Several nasty storm occured there durin this night, including thundery and hail storms. Here are some of the pictures. See the whole REPORTAGE!

  5. 32°C and sunny in Split. *** During sunset a dust devil occured on the meddow in Zepce (Bosnia & Hercegovina). It's diameter was cca 1m and it lasted for 3 minutes. Goran Sliskovic from Zepce, a Crometeo member from Bosnia, took the pics of it. This came after record hot june day in Zepce with max t of 37°C. See the pics: http://crometeo.hr/index.php?module=announ...amp;ANN_id=1549
  6. I wrote to the web Gorazde, and they said to me that the information about 4kg hailstone is probably correct, many people who witntessed confirm this. The latest infomations says that 4 people were hitted by this hail! There have been unconfirmed information that one hailstone in the village Desevo weighted 6kg! There are also infomations that some of the huge hailsotned are being kept in the fridges!
  7. Hi All! A huge stormy cloud developed during late afternoon and evening at 19th of June 2007 in eastern parts of Bosnia and Hercegovina. The cloud looked like this just before 7PM: Crometeo member was west of stormy cloud and he took a photo of it: Radar at 8PM. 70dBZ!!! Finally the "show" started. The storm hitted the eastern Bosnian city of Gorazde. Gale force winds, and than hail stones size of a tennis ball. The eyewitness say that some stones were up to 4kg! In storm many people were injured, a lot of cars, roots, windows... were destroyed. here are some of the pictures from Gorazde web site: The whole reportage with VIDEO you can see here: REPORTAGE FROM GORAZDE
  8. After many very hot days in Croatia, this cyclone (we named it Karmen) together with the cold front made a very exciting stormy day across the country. Lot of storms, hail, thundery showers, shelf clouds, funnel clouds, waterspouts and tornadoes, wild winds, flash floods. Crometeo members made many reportages in various parts of the country. The biggest storm was in Osijek, in the continental part of the Country (east). A tornado popped up in the very city, lifting one person several meters in the air. She has bad injuries. This is a photo of forming tornado over Osijek (photo Agromaster from Crometeo) The passage of the cold front in the Adriatic region of Croatia was spectacular. Before the front gale force SE and SW wind, then the big storms, after that strong W and NW wind and very unusual cooling (from 26°C today to 9 -15 now!). Almost the whole winter we didn't have the temps below 10°C! This evening it started to snow on Zavizan (cca 1630m). Here is a reportage from Split in the coastal part of Dalmatia. At the end of reportage you hava a link to the video. In the very first second of video you can see the end of one waterspout over sea: http://www.crometeo.net/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=3058 Spectacular also in city of Zadar: http://www.crometeo.net/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=3059 Huge storm with shelf and funnel cloud in eastern Croatia: http://www.crometeo.net/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=3055 Huge storm in neighbouring Slovenia: http://www.crometeo.net/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=3049 Lightning show over nothern Adriatics, island of Krk: http://www.crometeo.net/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=3053 Hope you like it !
  9. Today many storm ocurred in Croatia. The day was extremly hot. Some place reached all time may record, even to 33°C. In the afternoon hours the development of clouds started over Dinaridi mountains because of the influence of cyclen over SE Europe & eastern Balkans. For an example a super cell storm developed over Slavonije (that's eastern part of Croatia) bringing 70mm of rain in only few hours, large hail and much damage: http://www.crometeo.net/phpbb/viewtopic.ph...31&start=15 The possibility of storms for Adriatic coast region was little but the huge storm happend. The line of stormy cbs developed over coastal mountains of southern and central Dalmatia. My town of Split had it's 'private' storm cloud. After 4PM a large hail started, almost only hail without rain. Some hail stones were of a size of lemon. The temperature went down from 30 to 22°C in one hour. This is a satellyte, you can see a little but stormy cloud over central dalmatia: sea level pressure at 2PM very warm at 850hPa in the same hour over Croatia: Finaly several pics of storm and after: VIDEO: The whole reportage: http://www.crometeo.net/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=3032 Tshcuss!
  10. Dobar dan! We've really had an exciting weather with the last cyclone in Croatia. Crometeo and Zevs team named this low HORACIJE. Horacije have been affecting the weather in this part of Europe for 10 days in a row today (and will stay for a while yet!). Many interesting things happened with Horacije. Some places in Adriatic region are having coldest days since last early spring!! Also many parts of Croatia, Slovenija and Bosnia had it's first signifficant snowfall in lower areas. Even the highest mountains in Croatia before this cyclone had 0 to 15cm of snow (last year it was even over 4m in this time of year). Today one peak Zavizan on mountain Velebit crossed 100cm of snow, fot the first time since last spring! Me and my palls went to mountain Biokovo in Dalmatia (southern Croatia) to catch some snow. And here is the result!! A VIDEO: Photos: (scroll down) http://www.crometeo.net/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=2834 and at the end, here is the amount of preticipation in Croatia in 7 days of cyclone (this is ONLY 7 od 10 days of cyclone)
  11. Takt 6°C, strong NW wind, clear. Eastern Croatia has snowing at the moment. See the video about cyclone Bogomila in Croatia and Slovenije from 22 to 28th of January 2007:
  12. Several funnel clouds and water spouts occured today in the early noon hours on the sea near city Dubrovnik (Croatia). It is a bit strange that this happened in the large area of high pressure (almost 1030hPa). But there was some presence of unstable air, it was raining (light rain) with several Cb clouds which were moving from SE to NW with high humidity. One picture: Daniel Pavlinovic from Crometeo tema (www.crometeo.hr) made this amazing reportage: http://www.crometeo.net/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=2551
  13. It's now mostly sunny with strong bura (NE wind) and 9°C. Last night a wind gust peaked 33m/s in split, and this Morning 44m/s in Makarska! 3 photos from Zrnovnica today: SEE THESE REPORTAGES: Bura in Makarska: http://crometeo.net/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=2501 Passage of the cold front in Dubrovnik: http://crometeo.net/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=2496 Heavy snow in Slovenian Alps: http://crometeo.net/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=2495 The whole story of cyclone "Alen" in Croatia, 2.1.2007: http://crometeo.net/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=2491
  14. Deep low was formed today in Adriatic sea. In the front side of the cyclon strong SE winds were blowing among the croatian coast, in some places over 20m/s. In the ceneter the pressure was only 990hPa. This low also brought lot of rain, in many places over 30mm, somewhere over 70mm. This rain came very welecomed after abnormal draught in Croatia during october and november. In the later part of the day in mountains it started to snow over 700m, and the wind turned to NE to NW in nothern Adriatic region. Here are my pics from Split today:
