I am a southerner who moved to Lancashire about 7 years ago now.

Having grown up around the sea I have always been fascinated by the weather, I can remember listening to the shipping forecast as a small child and trying to make sense of the low pressure and where they were moving.

I now live at a 1000ft in the Rossendale valley and am lucky enough to have the most amazing views from my house which allow me to see the weather coming from miles away.

I must admit I am somewhat obsessed by the snow, we get so much here, its so different from being in Surrey, but I also love any extreme weather especially thunder storms.

I did have a horse, but he died last year, but still have two feral cats living in my stables who I feed every morning and night and two dogs which give me a good excuse to go out in the early morning regardless of the weather - my husband thinks I am mad!
