  1. Ahh......right.............I can't spell. You know, after all the time I've used that, no one has ever mentionaed it, or even did I notice it...........................gotta love pedants.(Only Joking) The reason I picked that name was two fold. I have also in my past been a dog trainer (Corley Dog Training Centre), and I used to work in conjunction with VWG dealing with technical issues with their vehicles so again, if you like, a German ShepHerd. Now I am an engineer dealing with big cats, so maybe a name change due. Good spot. GS.
  2. Welcome to the Madhouse. Bit more relaxed in here than the model thread (pic attached)....lol GS.
  3. I like the cut of your Gib Sir! I was thinking the exact same scenario, I when looked at that chart. Not that I have Scooby Doo, compared with some on here though. GS.
  4. There's a thought..................no..........stop.............must.............resist GS.
  5. Earlier on I was berating myself for lampost watching at 39 years of age. Well, after squinting at said lamp and convincing myself that I could see something in the air, I have now found myself doing the sleeve test out the back door, checking to see what landing. There's no hope for me. GS.
  6. Mine keeps looking at me funny like, as I look out window, look at PC, and disassemble weather station base in an attempt to get the bloody thing to work!! It's the same here regarding marginality. Myself and Cyclonic Happiness are just outside Coventry, and in the past we have had snow up here (which is marginally higher 136m), but my sister in Coundon (99m) in Coventry has seen none. Ref Gift ideas:- Linky GS.
  7. Cheers for the update Mack. I am sure I can see a few in the lampost here, too. For goodness sake I'm 39, what am I doing staring at lamposts? GS. Having some further technical difficulties this end. After a brief spurt the base stations given up now!! GS.
  8. Good point!! Like illustrated here on the Meto charts, through following too?
  9. Right.........having now been arsed to climb on garage roof and refit new batteries to transmitter, I now have a reading of 5.5 c and a dewpoint of 5.4 c. Wish I hadn't bothered now!!
  10. We'll have our day Mackerel. Might be interesting in the morning if this lot freezes over, pickaxe to open the car door? GS. Edit:- Cheers Paul. When I say mines broken; I really mean I can't be arsed to climb up on garage roof and put the batteries in the transmitter.....lol
  11. Paul, my weather station is blinkered, what is your temp/dewpoint at the mo? GS.
  12. Still time tonight, you never know. Luke, keep us informed of conditions, your our early warning beacon!
  13. Sounds good Luke. What's your ASL in Halesowen? If I remember rightly, from my old AA days down Dog Kennel Lane it's quite hilly round there? GS.
  14. Just for you. It was a bit of a bodge.......GFS chart ECM captions, only a bit of humour. GS. P.S. Rain getting a few flakes over here now as it gets heavier.
  15. Hello mate. Cold at work today? lol I'm with you all the way, regarding next week's potential. It's been a bit frustrating in the MOD thread with all the dummy throwing. In fact I got my post deleted ( a first for me), when I thought it would be amusing to superimpose a June chart onto today's ECM run. Don't think that went down too well, and I have to admit was uncharacteristically childish of me....he he. GS
  16. Same here in Coventry. Just light drizzle at the moment. Hoping when the heavier precip hits it will turn more wintry, however I'm not convinced at present. Unfortunately, my weather station has broken down so I can't tell temp/dewpoints, so it's look out the window time. GS
  17. Fantasy Island. It is the latter half of the run. Because a runs accuracy reduces the further away from the start point it goes, anything in these stages tend to be labelled 'Fantasy Island' and unlikely less likely to come off. GS
  18. Hi Queenie. A big welcome to the forum. Take note of the last few posts from Nick and Lancs - my best advice is just to sit back and quietly read through the MOD thread and you will soon figure out who to listen/learn from, rather than those that give the impression that they need to bugger off and do their homework. GS
  19. Know what you mean.........I thought for a minute reading this thread, I had gone back in time and this was Snowatch. Anyway, good runs so far tonight, couldn't really expect anything better than last night TBH, and I think we're all in a really good postion moving forward to next week. Awaits the ECM.
  20. http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/paulhudson/ He seems to be having a little ramp following today's model outputs.
  21. To Your Health too. Everything starting to piece together now with the models. We just need the transformation to reality to occur. As for tonight's offerings:-
  22. Or a РуÑÑкий Ñтандарт водка What do ya think Pete? GS
  23. All good fun. I love it on here in winter. I can't help but feel, looking at the models, that the block will prove more stubbern than is being progged, along with the yet to be determined shortwave and low pressure lottery results. We have got a lot to look forward to, if your interested in the weather. Finally, if I may, I would like to copy this post in from TWO where Rustyroo quite succinctly explains our current predicament :- "So to sum up; We are certain of the uncertainty in GFS but uncertain of the certainty of the UKMO while we are uncertain of any certainty a certain model is about to show? Glad that has been clarified then." Quality!!
  24. Not a bad end to preceedings tonight???? Where's 'Cyclonic Happiness' when you need him?.............lol.......Paul??......Stop robbing them Holly Bushes!!
  25. How can this be a downgrade? Happy days for us model watchers...........not saying it can't go wrong, but things are on the up compared with recent times.
