  1. DTHFCJ I agree, DTHFCJ. . . Not only was 1976 the best summer I've ever known, there was more snow (not difficult) either side of it, than in any recent year.
  2. And, with 2024 looking like being even warmer, and with SSTs being irrefutably linked to hurricane formation, maybe it's time for a Cat 6?
  3. This week's Ten-Day Trend certainly won't stop the moaning:
  4. Do I spy some nascent plume-readiness? I know it's a long way out, but what with summer approaching and all that. . .
  5. ANYWEATHER Why are you posting charts for nine days' time?
  6. markyo I think you are just a little bit mad, Mark. But who am I to talk?
  7. markyo I've not used my heating for three days!
  8. Bristawl Si Same here, Si. . . 26 in Tenerife yesterday, by the way!
  9. Summer8906 I'm not so sure about that, mate -- they might just do what they're supposed to: produce as many viable offspring as they can.
  10. Well, if you're nicknamed 'Shrubzilla', spring has come early this year: West Sussex: Record-breaking rhododendron blooms a month early WWW.BBC.CO.UK "Big Rhodey" usually blooms in April but due to recent wet weather is flowering now.
  11. raz.org.rain I wouldn't forecast anything. . .
  12. raz.org.rain But analogues go wrong almost every year?
  13. 78/79 Not to mention watered-down vodka. . . It was the weather what done it!
  14. *Stormforce~beka* Did you get all of those injuries from slipping on mud, Beka? And, how did you manage to fall forwards and not backwards? Anyway, get well soon!
  15. raz.org.rain Indeed. And they were also being fed a litany of cack about a so-called LIA footprint. . .
  16. And here's this week's Met. Office Ten Day Trend: current levels of wetness could be coming to an end?
  17. ANYWEATHER Something for you to learn, perhaps?
  18. ANYWEATHER And, pound for pound, become less useful as a source of nutrients. . . Just like when warm, wet springs make for faster growing but weedier grass.
  19. LetItSnow! That was either down to 'encroachment' or, as Donald Trump might say, due to the USAF's jet aircraft?
  20. Back in the day, countless football matches were postponed due to either snow or frozen pitches; these days, pitches are always waterlogged!
