Just so long as the 30C isotherm stays more or less where it is...
-
Or next weeks warmer conditions may herald the rest of the summers pattern. Objectivity. You seem very confident on unsettled and cool/average almost all the time. No surprise though.
So long as the Atlantic doesn't come steaming in like an express train, we should be alright? Maybe!

I'll vote for Lauren...

If anything the downgrades have gone the other way this summer- unsettled weather has tended to be pushed back to the point that it doesn't actually happen in the end. It's one run and the GFS has been more keen than the other models to make the heat miss us.
Very true, Scorch...Very similar to last summer's non-existent breakdowns?

The most exciting thing so far has been a short burst of 'severe' drizzle!

Hasn't even started raining here...Not bad considering we are less than 10 miles' away from the East coast!

Hi PM...I've just finished removing 7 posts, most of which weren't even in the appropriate thread...

That thread is like a cesspit of vindictiveness and hate as usual! They really don't like anything contrary being pointed out one bit. It's a pity denier can't be added to the swear filter, but 10% of the thread would vanish if it were.
What, and this one isn't?

Freedom of speech, Ian? And, at the end of the day, are we not equally free - and qualified and/or literate enough - to counter such nonsense? What would the world be like if it were not for being able to lampoon numpties like Watts and Monckton?

I can't even remember what I guessed at.

It didn't half rain yesterday afternoon. Not a single rumble though.

Anti-vaccination, homoeopathic AIDs cures, water memory.... ehhh, not so sure that's a reliable source.
I don't know; it seems that they're do their level best to inoculate folks against the use of common sense?
-
Says an awful lot about politics though Pete?
It does indeed, Ian...But what is the pride in being willfully bamboozled?
-
Three rumbles before 2, followed by an afternoon of drizzle!

And that says what exactly about science?

Pretty quiet here now, any showers are to the north towards KL and the N Norfolk coast. Not a bad day thunder-wise but was expecting a little more tbh
All converging on Lincolnshire?

17.4 please...

Why do I feel that London, the SE and East Anglia will mostly miss out again?
Sheet! Even reverse psychology doesn't work!

Nothing to see here.Move along?

I might well be wrong, and it doesn't mean much either way, but 1983 was in no way great, before the heat started?

^^ There's an increasing sense of desperation within the gruesome threesome, knocker. I think they're rather worried about how warm this year's shaping up to be? But I'm sure that Monckton will be able to find something suitably inane to say, on the subject...

Things have turned much more convection during the last two hours.

Up at 0630. Back to bed when the sun got too much. Up again at 1130. Breakfast. Mulled around on here inbetween playing Xbox games in a darkened room. Pal phoned up having a spot of bother with his mo'bike. Had to begrudgingly go out in the awful glare of the day to fix that. Came back and had a nap. Going to shop soon, when the light at least starts to fade a little. Out all day tomorrow - forecast is bad so not looking forward to that at all. Wish it was mid November so badly.
No worries, barrie; now you're on the road to heaven...
